  1. I agree on Broadway.
  2. Dear God Indy is fun to watch.
  3. Don't feel too bad. Mike Vanderjagt just overthrew his snapper by a .5 yard to cost Indy a TD.
  4. Losses to Sam Houston State, Davidson and Arkansas. Wins over Northwestern State (beat OK State at home), UMKC and TAMUCC. Yah, ISU will probably blow one against them. The Big 12 is such weak sauce this year.
  5. Um, Indiana fans and Illinois fans should all be able to agree on one thing. Missouri really sucks.
  6. How far does Iowa drop? And does ISU crack the Others Recieving Votes?
  7. QUOTE(Mercy! @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) I’ve been curious as to why there isn’t one of those standard “Read This before You Post” or FAQ type of things to allow new posters to get up to speed on the site’s dos and don’ts. Since Soxtalk has been around for awhile, I figure it must be a conscious philosophical decision not to have such, rather than not having the time to do so. Just wondered what the reasoning was behind that decision. Because we end up arguing all the time on some hard and fast rules. I guess we could post some, but they are mostly common sense. The issue with qwerty is that he's been here forever and still did it.
  8. QUOTE(Mercy! @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) I’m sorry about that. It certainly wasn’t my intention to get Qwerty in trouble; I wasn’t aware of whatever rule you’re referring to. But now that you mention it, when I first started posting I looked all over the place to try to find out what the site “rules” were, if any, so I wouldn’t step wrong. Never did find anything. So like practically the first thing that happened was that a really innocent photo I contributed to the Naked Rambler thread got removed for being somehow objectionable. I thought it was pretty ironic considering some of the “acceptable” content I’d seen, but hey, I wasn’t about to start weeping over it, either. Not my site, not my call. Is there some thread somewhere with The Rules? Thanks. It's been stated numerous times that we don't allow links to porn sites, is all. I'm not familiar with the naked rambler thread, though.
  9. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) no but he had a very good september in 2004 when he got the call up and pitched out the bullpen. You can't judge a guy off of one start. He was put in an awful position. Marte had a good June of 2004.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Weird links? Examples. I actually think i know the other link you are talking about and it was no big deal. But you like to make alot out of nothing. The fact that the admins or whoever got rid of the link i just posted this morning is pretty damn lame. It was a thread on soxtalk that did no harm then... why is it a threat now? I had only linked it not bumped it and i do not see why it matters either way. We didn't get rid of the link, you formatted it wrong. You are going to have a little break becuase of the link in your profile, which you know has been a rule for who knows how long.
  11. So, the Big 12 is setting new standards in suckitude. #1-2 Texas Oklahoma #3-11 Texas Tech Iowa State Oklahoma State Kansas Colorado Texas A&M Kansas State Nebraska Misssouri #12 Baylor #3-11 is a clusterf***.
  12. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) 20-17 Bears. Kyle Orton goes 16-25 for 188 yards and 2 Touchdown passes. The defense has some trouble in the beginning of the game as the Steelers decide to attack the Bears with the passing game however the Bears defense adjusts and is able to be a bend but don't break defense this week. The Steelers Passing defense is pretty weak and Ron Turner opens up the playbook for Orton and allows him to be more aggressive. Heh.
  13. Texas A&M - Corpus Christi 56 @ Missouri 53 11:53
  14. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 10:20 AM) osu underscheduled early because the start of the college season coincides with their fall quarter finals. it is odd, though. i share concern about the game with oregon today. they've had a week to sit around and they love to run. people might point to the loss to georgetown as a reason illinois should win, but oregon just struggled to adjust to georgetown's style since they never see it. illinois was more prepared for that since they play northwestern regularly. i still think illinois will win, but they will have to play more sound offensive basketball than they have recently to get it done. we know the defense will be there. The Iowa State - Ohio State suddenly looks like ISU may have a shot again. What can I look forward to out of tOSU and Dials.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 02:43 AM) Iowa f***ed up this week. They'll be near the bottom of the top 25 now. Brunner had the quietest double-double ever. He only had 4 points til garbage time. You guys got ate up by two sophomores along with Stinson and Blalock. Dear God, Rahshon Clark may be the most exciting sophomore in the nation.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 9, 2005 -> 09:29 PM) Haha, so Iowa is the #3 team in their own state. Good stuff. Remember, Drake took Boston College to the wire, losing by 3. I suppose it's not out of the realm of possibility for Drake to win, but I believe it's in Iowa City. God tonight was fun.
  17. QUOTE(bulokis @ Dec 9, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) The Rangers seem to love our farm system. They seem to love the ones with unusual names. Fabio Castro Ruddy Yan Frankie Francisco Well, that's all I can think of, cause Anthony Webster isn't really fun to say.
  18. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 9, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) Am i even able to watch it? If you have full court. So probably not. Anyone in Iowa, though. The crowd is expected to be one of the loudest in the history of Hilton Coliseum, which is saying a lot.
  19. On a real note, it'd be something for the parents. For my mom, it'd be a bit tough. Maybe a vacation down south. For my dad, he's got a list of places he wants to go before he dies -- including Mt. Everest and Jerusalem at XMas. The second is a little strange since he hasn't been to church in years when not there for a funeral or wedding.
  20. Iowa @ Iowa State tonite. Should be worth a watch.
  21. Tim Hummel. Oh wait...
  22. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) well there was only one position battle last year. I just hope they give Munoz a real shot at making the team. Well he's on the 40, so he'll be there. He started most of last year, but any chance he'd have in Chicago, would be, as you said, as a reliever. They've been jerking him around in Charlotte. He was one of Charlotte's better pitchers, but that was pretty much a tallest midget contetst down there. I'm not saying he doesn't have a shot, I'm just saying that he doesn't really have a shot. I will agree that after the Montreal debacle, he performed better out of the pen.
