Hell has frozen over!

Call it “The Manfred Mule” and create a related adult beverage to be sold at concession stands.

How about ditching all of that and just doing this “funk rule”... If you score 7 or more runs in a single inning on 4 or fewer base hits, without encountering more than 2 errors by the defending team — then the shortstop is replaced by a free standing donkey tied to an installed post. Anyone who can then mount the donkey while going from second to third base on a hit or stolen base attempt without becoming tagged out in the process, will then be considered a “super pony” and shall be counted as 11 runs upon crossing home plate. Should a team secure two “super pony” runs, the home crowd will all partake in a parade on the following weekend day, during which only assless chaps are allowed as attire.

Fatherless children.

Only have been to Chicago twice for home games. California native here so all I know is Dodgers and Angels parking, which ranges from $30 to $50... $20 if you want to walk a mile.
-
It’s just probably because it’s a google amp link.
-
Yea, the $50 parking.

latest article by him written this morning with a lot of new great “league sources” disclosures... https://news.google.com/articles/CBMiZGh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmVzcG4uY29tL21sYi9zdG9yeS9fL2lkLzI5MzE2NDUzL21sYi1wbGF5ZXJzLXNhaWQtdGVsbC11cy13aGVyZS1yZXR1cm4tdGVsbC1jb21taXNzaW9uZXLSAXFodHRwczovL3d3dy5lc3BuLmNvbS9tbGIvc3RvcnkvXy9pZC8yOTMxNjQ1My9tbGItcGxheWVycy1zYWlkLXRlbGwtdXMtd2hlcmUtcmV0dXJuLXRlbGwtY29tbWlzc2lvbmVyP3BsYXRmb3JtPWFtcA?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

All that ESPN thing ended up being was a prerecorded statement from manspread. The Passan comments were hopeful.
-
I’d be shocked if Manspread even appears on ESPN for this special with all that went down today. If he does it’ll just be to have a spotlight in pushing this latest narrative on defensive repeat.
-
Pretty sad, frustrating, telling, and depressing watching this “return of sports” special on ESPN — seeing the contrast between competent commissioners and the moron representing MLB.

Hayes started one separate from that Jackson guy ?
-
Actually the bolder quote was Manfred saying the players union intended to sue for a billion plus once play resumed, I believe.
-
https://t.co/g1O5vNRvGT Dan Hayes started a petition to remove Manfred. It’s gone from 20 signatures to 700+ in minutes and should reach its targeted million over night. ?

Funny, I just finished reading it before coming back here.

This sums it up well from mlbtr... https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/06/rob-manfred-no-longer-confident-2020-season-will-occur.html In defending the owners, Manfred told Greenberg: “The owners are a hundred percent committed to getting baseball back on the field. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you that I’m a hundred percent certain that’s gonna happen.” The union side, for its part, expressed a desire to play this past weekend. “Tell us when and where,” executive director Tony Clark said. However, the league sent the union a letter Monday saying there won’t be a season unless the players waive any legal claims against MLB stemming from the sides’ March agreement, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times tweets. Additionally, Manfred went after the union for the letter it sent to the league Friday. “Unfortunately, over the weekend, while Tony Clark was declaring his desire to get back to work, the union’s top lawyer was out telling reporters, players and eventually getting back to owners that as soon as we issued a schedule – as they requested – they intended to file a grievance claiming they were entitled to an additional billion dollars,” Manfred said. “Obviously, that sort of bad-faith tactic makes it extremely difficult to move forward in these circumstances.”
