QUOTE (The Bull @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Awful game. How do you get worked like that by Mussina? This is the same exact team I watched last year these last two games. Awesome that this game is on the YESPN too. I bet they are watching with their pants around their ankles for this one over there. Oh Yeah I forgot we are on National TV. What a great showing by our 2007 I mean 2008 Chicago Whitesox -

Well I wanted to see how we stacked up against the Yankees. Now I know. And it isn't good. This tream may beat the s*** teams of the American League, but against the upper echelon teams, they will get smoked. -

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 07:52 PM) He's gonna be here for the rest of the year. NO ONE is going to trade for a hitter with a sub .500 OPS. I would just release the piece of s***. Way to go Javy. Way to shut them down this inning. This is bulls***. -

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) i have no problem with swisher hitting leadoff and really have no problem with the fact that we dont have speed...i just wish swisher would hit like he his capable of hitting I think you need some speed on a team, for when you go in a slump, you can bunt your way on and beat out some infiled hits. -

I like having Swisher on our team, I think he was a great pickup, but I wish we had a legitimate leadoff hitter who could bunt and had some speed. This team has no speed whatsoever. -

There is just no excuse for this offense not being able to touch Mussina up. Another fly out!! HAHAHAHA Stone says this has been a disturbing night for the offense. Considering we haven't hit the ball hard at all except for the Crede solo shot, and Mussina has been getting hit hard this season so far. -

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 07:37 PM) This team just really isn't playing like a playoff team right now. We win 5-0 one day, and blow the game the next day. Very inconsistent. Plus, we make old, over-the-hill pitchers look like they did 10 years ago! Has the offense changed at all from last year? I don't think this team is gonna even come anywhere close to the palyoffs. It's an avergae team. -

Well you know we will face Chamberlain in the 8th and The Sandman in the 9th, so we have 9 outs to do some damage. And as I am typing that is the ballgame. 2 run double. Way to go Javy!! -

The Red Sox lit Mussina up for 5 runs in 3 innings last week, and we can only manage 2 hit in 4 f***ing innings. The perfect storm is back!! -

QUOTE (chisoxt @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) Is it me or does it seem like we play so flat at home...Even the games we win are nail biters or games that we trail much of the way. It also seems as though the attendance is way down this year and there is not as much energy in the park...last night, only 25,000. There is no energy at the park, because the players are showing nothing to get excited about. They are playing like garbage. -

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 09:18 PM) I still dont think so.. youre not gonna be a very successful ball club if you only have one guy that can hold the opponent... Well everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think you still have a shot to win the game only down 2. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) If Ozzie values Linebrink that much, then he should bring him in to face Jeter in that situation last inning like Girardi did with Chamberlain. Ozzie totally f***ed up that inning. -

What I am saying is, we still have a shot in this game. Call me an optimist. Why not bring in Linebrink to hold these guys at 6 runs. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 09:07 PM) Down 2 in the 8th with Chamberlain and Rivera to come, you need to save Linebrink for the rest of the series. Wow. So you are saying there is no shot at us comign back in this game?? Nice attitude. -

I still am questioning Ozzie letting The Count start the 7th. No way he should have let him start that inning. And Thornton walks the leadoff batter. How come Linebrink isn't in the game?? What the f*** Ozzie -
