White Sox vs. Yankees, 8/02/07 (W)
I can't believe what I just saw!!!! Score 8 runs then turn around and give up 8. I have never seen anything like this, it's like the team has a jinx on them. Maybe JR and KW sold their souls in 2005 to win the World series.

Next year's outfield
I really don't know what this Org. is gonna do. I have a feeling Dye will be back and I can see us making a run at Rowand. Hunter is gonna be out of our price range as is Jones. I can see us bringing back Pods if Owens goes into the tank the rest of the season. I'm not sold on Owens at all, but I also want no part of Pods anymore. KW has his work cut out for him this offseason. Depending on how Richar does the rest of the year, he may have to get a 2nd baseman and SS. I want Uribe outta here.

ESPN: Rob Mackowiak Traded to SD
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 10:55 PM) I would love it if we took some of that money and threw it at a couple tough signs from this years draft as well as pooled up some of it for potential international FA's or next years draft (going to some guys that would be drafted later on in the draft yet being offered well above slot money). Thats at least what I"d do with the money from the Iguchi/Mack deals. Plus we added two prospects (and yes we have no clue whether these guys will be good but I never expected more than A ball guys for those two). I am extremely pissed that we didn't move Dye but I Got to catch up and see what the offer was that Kenny inevitably turned down (i will s*** a brick if the Sox don't offer Dye arbitration though...oh my god I will s*** a brick). Right now I'm a dissapointed fan, but I can't comment more than that until I see what the hell was not done (by Kenny). If he didn't get a fair deal I understand and I now expect Sweeney to play a boatload from here on out (and I'm hoping we can maybe slide a guy or two through waivers and move them soon enough...wink wink...Contreras). Plus Dye probably makes it to some of the lower level teams in the race (which means you still have an outside shot at moving him, but clearly he doesn't make it to the Red Sox or any NL team). We ain't gotta snowball's chance in hell of anyone biting on Jose. I'm hoping the guy just ups and retires, maybe he has some pride and won't want to be embarassed anymore and just quits.

White Sox Loser Thread
I wouldn't sweat the Cubs. Who cares if they win the division and make the playoffs. You know the media is gonna be all over this story the rest of the season. It's a cubs town. We had a chance to turn the tide last year and choked in the 2nd half, while KW sat around and did nothing to help this team in the 2nd half of last year and during the offseason. The Cubs spent the money and it looks like it's gonna payoff for them this year. No matter if they win the whole thing or not, life goes on. To me it's not a big deal anymore.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) It really doesn't matter. Have you seen the Cubs schedule in September? They have it so easy. They will waltz to a division title. The NL may be worse this year than last. We must really suck then because we went 4-14 against the NL this year.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
QUOTE(shadowspy1 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) I think the under wins. You got it. That inning he threw over the top pretty much the whole inning. He might have dropped down once or twice. I'm gonna keep an eye on that and see what he does next inning.
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
That inning Jose threw almost every pitch from over the top. He barely dropped down at all.
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
I'm taking the over.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
So how many runs will Jose give up this inning. I am setting the over/under at 2 and 1/2.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
Just shut Jose down for the rest of the year. This is getting to be ridiculous. His confidence is obviously shot, and his stuff just isn't there.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
Don't blame the umps Hawk. This was all on Jose.
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
Well the only shot we have at getting rid of this guy is if he f***ing retires!!
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
I'm serious maybe the guy will just realize he ain't got it no more and retire.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 7/31/07 (L)
Maybe Jose will just quit, after being embarassed start after start.

ESPN: Rob Mackowiak Traded to SD
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) Great, another piece of s*** possible future reliever. I revoke my previous statement. The word "screw" isn't harsh enough. You should actually f*** yourself, KW. I agree 100%. Mack was worth more than this. I'm not sure KW knows what he is doing anymore.

Dye Trade Thread
In actuality who really thought KW would improve this team at the deadline this year? He didn't do anything to help it last year at the deadline and we were in a pennant race. So to me this is no surprise at all. Maybe he met with Konerko and Thome like last year and they told him they thought the team was good enough like last year.

ESPN: Rob Mackowiak Traded to SD
I really think we should have held onto Mack. He was one of our better baserunners who actually has some speed. He plays a hell of alot better defense that Pods does. I just don't get this trade at all. I hope Erstad or Pods is not in the plans for next year.
-
Dye Trade Thread
It just baffles me that there is no market at all for Dye. All you here is Boston and that is it. I hope KW didn't fall in love with the idea of getting WMP and Delcarmen, and now is gonna be stuck with Dye. I have to believe other teams were interested in him, but you know how KW falls in love with certain players.

ESPN: Rob Mackowiak Traded to SD
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 02:12 PM) Well when the manager throws a bear hug on Cintron for every little piddle of good things he does, you know who is on their way out. I guess so. What a bunch of s*** that is.

ESPN: Rob Mackowiak Traded to SD
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 02:09 PM) figures. Mack was probably the best producing OF'er That just makes room for Erstad to come back and start, and Owens will go and take over the utility role that Mack had.

Stark only said it was a minor league guy for Mackowiak. Out of all the people I would have liked Mack to stay and Cintron to go.

Dye Trade Thread
Whether Dye gets traded ot not, this team has so many flaws that either way trading Dye or not won't help this team. We needed to trade either Vazquez or Garland and get some solid postional prospects.
