  1. Same and I think he will. It would just be nice to be able to follow WSox Minor League clubs that are somewhat fun to watch. Last year was impossible to watch a whole game let alone a few innings. I spent most of my time watching the San Jose Giants on my MILB account...I'm hoping to watch more WSox MILB this year and I believe Yo can provide that for the first few months.
  2. After I read his review I was surprised they ranked him 2nd, but they seem to really like Colson.
  3. I'd normally agree with this assessment and your pessimism is fair, but Yo hadn't played for two years prior to his minor league debut. He also entered the season with a shoulder injury that limited him to DH duties early in the season. Add that into him having to acclimate himself to another country- he had a lot to deal with. You're right on his big league tools...and I think he's going to show that immediately this spring. If he explodes in AA to start the year I don't think he'll be in the minors very long. I'd actually put Yo as the WSox top prospect as I feel he'll be making his case to be their RF by late May if they don't splash via trade or in FA.
  4. I still think this is setup man money. Besides- Segura's contract still washes Kimbrel's with a prospect from Philly thrown in. I still think Philly is the favorite to get him.
  5. This is a great deal for the WSox. I'm sure they prefer Leury isn't their every day 2B and he's their utility guy as he's been....but I don't mind him being in the mix in case all of the other clearly better options go sour. Welcome back, Leury.
  6. Baez to Tigers per Morosi....good. If we're not going to make any moves let those competing with us make terrible ones.
  7. Agreed. Eflin would be a coup, but it isn't happening.
  8. He just got a 1yr/18mil deal last year. Sorry..I didn't think it was obvious he'd be getting 150mil plus. If that is indeed the case- I hope the WSox didn't spend much time.
  9. Well he should've had a long wait this winter if he expected 200mil.
  10. Or he was just being reasonable like the rest of us thinking 4/85ish was fair and maybe he'd take that deal on a contender...but apparently that wasn't enough.
  11. I can't imagine you wanted him for 7 years, though...
  12. While I love this idea- what would it take to get McNeil in a trade? I can't imagine he'd come cheap.
  13. I've been following this thread all off-season. Thanks to everyone for their work here- its much appreciated.
