2nd and 3rd, 1 out... Why do we even pitch to Belliard any more?

This should be Viz's last inning if we want him available by Saturday.

Wow, last time Shingo blew a save: Cliff Lee started and gave up 5ER Shingo gave up 3ER in the 9th Miller got the win Bizarro.

I think the win is more important right now. We have no idea what Garland will do on Saturday or if our offense will score off Radke. Here we are in a very winnable game at home and there's no way Ozzie gives up.

3 hits for Iggy today!

I've never understood why...
How many closer by committee bullpens have been successful though? Hermanson blew some big ones last year. I also remember a game where Politte dominated the 8th inning and came out for the 9th and quickly gave up two hits. Shingo's command was off today, he usually doesn't leave those fastballs up like that.

He's still not as bad as Koch.

Vizcaino only man left too. This does not look good if we go into extras.

I get the feeling Botch would be a pretty good heckler. I wonder if there's any pics of him out there.

Wilkerson hits for the cycle
The only reason is Wilkerson just doesn't produce the same way when he doesn't bat leadoff. Well Guzman still shouldn't be batting 2nd but Wilkerson could really increase his production if he could hit a little lower in the order.

I like the idea of the Duke opening in the Baggie Dome with the Count going today alot better than the reverse.

Jose Jose Jose
Anyone else notice Jose was batting right-handed?

Paulie and Dye's homerun power
Dye has had some down years but I really like his approach at the plate. We'll see if he swings for the fences with regularity or that AB against Wickman was just good scouting by Jermaine.

Flubbs getting hammered!
I wouldn't mind having Nomar but not for the money he makes. He's way too inconsistent for Ozzie ball.

Wow what a night for Jose. Expect him to strike out 4 times tomorrow.

2 Spot
Ok, I only saw one of Pods' ABs so I didn't realize he was making good contact. Hopefully he's seeing the ball better. My advice to him is to wear less eye black.

Wilkerson hits for the cycle
Less than two years ago, Brad Wilkerson hits for the cycle and now does it again in just the Nationals 2nd game ever. I'm sure most of you know who he is already but it's great to see that he can finally play where he'll get some more national attention.

Sox on the Web??
Yeah, is that site legal? Maybe it just links to the WMVP feeds that black out when necessary.

2 Spot
I was happy to see Gooch hit a double today. Pods has also looked bad at the plate after two games but it's too early to consider making a change. Aaron could bat third but the idea is to mix Everett in with all the righties there. I like Aaron because it seems like he hits well no matter where you bat him.
