  1. Isn't this more like the SoxTalk Useless Fastest Googler Game? I like the idea but this is the Internet we're talking about.
  2. We may have won this series but I don't feel very confident in this team right now.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxjr27 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) can we pull viz please ozzie. ffs What we need is for someone to pull Ozzie. He obviously has been struggling the past few games.
  4. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) So where's the Ozzie accolades for sticking with Crede? It was the right move, no? Hindsight is 20/20 is what I always say when second-guessing good pitching changes. This is no different.
  5. Are you saying this because Crede hit the homeruns? So I would have been stupid for benching Crede? It's never stupid to bench Crede, even if he happens to hit a homerun once in a while. A few more 0-fers and we will all forget about how awesome Crede has been the past two games.
  6. I think Oz saw that poll about how many wins he has gained/lost for the team and decided to make things right.
  7. I wonder what Baines, Coop, and company say when Ozzie brings in Walker to a one-run game.
  8. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 06:37 PM) He doesn't have any stats - that's why I guessed it was. Do you know anything about him? Westbrook was awesome on opening day - and repeatedly has been beat by team's aces - but how does he have a 5 ERA? I like us in that one - if El Duque is healthy. I know he was up in 2003. I think he had some sort of injury that kept him out until recently.
  9. QUOTE(chunk23 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 05:32 PM) I've seen quite a few ballgames, I was saying Rowand's swing seemed very weak, I didn't really expect a HR off that swing. Also, Pods shouldn't try to steal too much, Molina has a great arm. His steal last week was the result of the ball coming out of the 2nd baseman's glove. He was probably beat on the throw. Ok, I was just making sure you weren't hatin' on ARow. Carl's hit might have been a homerun at the Urinal.
  10. QUOTE(ReinsdorfSucks @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) go f*** yourself jagoff We don't tolerate verbal abuse of this sort. Consider yourself warned.
  11. QUOTE(chunk23 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 05:25 PM) That was the weakest hit HR I've ever seen. Is this the first baseball game you've ever seen? Congratulations.
  12. ARow!!!! Heatin' up as the calendar turns to June!!
  13. Timo hasn't played first base in 6 years. I hope he's kept up on his infield practice.
  14. QUOTE(Wedge @ May 31, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) However, a Nazi swastica is at a 45 degree angle. The swastica depicted is perpendicular; therefore, it is more like the swastica of ancient societies (middle eastern and oriental) which stood for fertility. The Nazi swastika is often seen at an angle but not always. Many of the party banners show the Nazi swastika as it is seen in the Metrodome roof picture. Generally, the Oriental and other spiritual uses of the swastika have it facing left, while the Nazis used a right-facing swastika. The one in the roof picture appears to face right.
  15. If we get a new hitting coach, there better be a moratorium on b****ing about our hitting coach for the rest of the season. When Crede still sucks, I don't want to hear anymore whining about why our hitting coach can't fix Crede.
  16. wino. I'm not sure what you mean by Opera being pre-Firefox unless you simply meant that the first version was released before Firefox. There is no connection between the two besides that. Opera was developed some ten years ago with the goal of being a small and fast browser. Some people swear by it, but it is true that most pages are not tested for Opera. If you use it, you would probably still need to use IE or Firefox to view some unsupported pages.
  17. Wow. There is still no chance of AA getting back into the game is there? It's funny cuz like a year before the Enron scandal broke, one of my HS teachers told us how his son-in-law was offered a great job at AA but turned it down and he didn't understand why. I guess he lucked out on that one.
  18. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ May 30, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) WTF? Yeah, I guess we should all just have these prospective hitting coaches on speed dial. Whether or not you like Walker, it's hard to argue that with the exception of Pods, Iguchi, and Rowand, our approach at the plate is awful. Our approach??? So Crede's approach was good last year? Uribe didn't have any slumps? Frank actually listens to hitting coaches??
  19. Why don't all you Greg Walker haters tell us who to hire instead of who to fire. You're just part of the problem if you don't propose a solution.
  20. QUOTE(rangercal @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) does anyone else notice all the cub freak injuries seem to happen at wrigley? choi in 03 mueller in 01 prior and giles running into each other in 03 I know Im missing more , I just had 5 heine's so I can't think. I thought Mueller got hurt in St. Louis? But yeah it seems like alot of crazy s*** goes down at the Urinal. Hopefully they blow it up soon.

    Star Wars

The name Palpatine has been around for as long as I can remember. I was surprised to find out it wasn't in the original trilogy because that name has always been in my head. I guess it's only been official the past 10 years or so.
  22. 37 glorious years. Here's to your speedy recovery!!
