Any chance Rays are gonna out of it by the time they play us?

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Some of us here underestimated the Angles. Pronounced them dead, when this series had sweep written all over it.

2012-2013 NFL Thread
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 03:58 PM) Welp, New Orleans lost, so I would have been out of my survivor league anymore. All is forgiven, Gostkowski. In other news, my dad and my uncle made it through yet another week. Half the league lost with NE last week, and like 1/3 of the league lost with NO this week. Upsets killing this league. Yup it's shaping out to be fascinating season. Half the 'experts' were riding the SF bandwagon as of last weekend.

Need to get Weaver out of this game as he seems to be in the groove right now.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 03:15 PM) Crazy day when you can basically go from 100 Tigers to 335 White Sox to 700 pm Tigers again....well that's East Coast time. 414 am here in China. At least the Tigers' meltdown was enjoyable to witness, if nothing else will be for the remainder of Sunday. I didn't watch the game, was it Scherer who got hit hard? Any indication that he is not completely healthy?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 03:07 PM) Nice swing there by Viciedo on a fastball...just missed it. Harrelson was probably praying "stretch, stretch, stretch...dadgummit." Ramirez back into brain dead, April-May mode again when we most need him to come up with some big clutch hits. Actually he only said 'that ball hit hard!' 'right in front of the fence'

Sox could remain in 1st place by tomorrow night.
QUOTE (spiderman @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 07:54 PM) Normally, but the Twins are just hot garbage. 10-2 Twins top 9th. I'll take it .

@CST_soxvan Tough, tough night for Dunn. Three strikeouts and a double play. He's 1-for-18 over last five games.

Sox could be out of 1st by tomorrow night
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) Really, no they're not...you just have to understand a bit about probability. If you have 4 teams that have a 75% chance of making the postseason, it's not stunning that one or two of them don't. I don't get the point of them. If you have two teams (like the Tigers and Sox tomorrow) with the same record and same amount of games to play, they're going to be at around 50% to make the playoffs. Do you really need a website to tell you that? Sox were as high as 86% already.

QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 07:53 PM) When the Sox beat the Tigers on Monday, the Sox were 84.4 to win the division. Tuesday-- 83.0 Wednesday-- 72.8 Thursday-- 74.8 Friday-- 68.5 Today after the Tigers won-- 62.5 I don't even want to look if the Sox lose tonight. I'm guessing slightly over 50%. Playoff probability percentages are a joke.
