  1. They're gonna wait for BlackHawks to come throw out the first pitch.
  2. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 01:15 PM) Someone said this in the Cubs thread too... what is he saying, and why does he care about Steve Stone? Is Steve Stone actually on the air with him? Stone criticized Pinella's use of Tyler Colvin, media blew it up and it got hot. Steve responded on WGN but joked about it.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) Nice reply by Steve Stone on WGN. He is a class act. I missed it, had CSN on for some reason. What did he say?
  4. Lou Pinella going off at Steve Stone on CSN!
  5. cst_sox: "Is the relationship the same way it was? Not really, because a few things have happened in disagreements, but that’s part of life.’’ - Oz "There are a lot of things that happened this year and we’re not going to deny it.'' 6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) Yeah he did, but Omar supposedly had to go back to Venezuela to take care of something. Should be back Sunday. Actually he won't be back this series.

  8. Anyone else have a problem with Jerry telling Kenny to stop going on team's road trips? If indeed true, this is ridiculous.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 07:33 AM) I think you're being sarcastic here, but you're 100% correct if you're not. I'm impressively disappointed that we're still talking about this. I just wish Jake didn't speak and threw like the ace he is paid.
  10. Hell yes, you better bring it you WHITE SOX. No excuses, just WIN!
  11. QUOTE (Nokona @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 12:02 AM) Mandela's grand daughter has been killed in a car crash following the concert. That's terrible, she was only 13 years old.
  12. I'm surprised Ozzie has such a long leash with Reinsdorf, the whole time I thought Kenny is 'Jerry's Guy'
  13. Cowley adding some more fuel to the fire. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...T-sox11.article
  14. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) I'm a firm believer in you can say whatever the hell you want if you can back it up. If MJ wanted to tell everyone to suck his balls, I would have to agree and drop to a knee. But when a below average pitcher thinks he's still top dog, he needs to shut the f*** up. The only thing that should ever come out of that idiot's mouth is "I apologize for being so terrible and I will not quit until I turn things around". I don't think he's done as a pitcher and didn't want to get rid of him. But f*** that now, dump his ass and I won't miss him. He lost my support and hopefully many more fans. But..but.. it was taken out of context!
  15. Wilson Betemit homered twice tonight, as Royals beat the Twins
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 10:38 PM) $7.5M and he can only pitch under one very specific scenario and even then you can only be comfortable putting him out there with a 3 run lead. There are teams out there that pay similar money to their closer that do not have this problem, they don't s*** the bed when there's not save to be made. God I hate arguing this. There is nothing to argue here, really.
  17. In fact, he pitched good today, and closed out the game, while this isn't Bobby Jenks sucks thread, this is a White Sox winner thread, give credit where credit is due And ya maybe he isn't last on the problems list, but didn't everyone agree the season is over? Bobby will be gone next year.
  18. Hasn't Bobby always sucked in non-save opportunities? He's been bad this year, but got us the saves - that's all I'm saying.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 07:11 PM) Age and experience has taught me that youth and energy need to write their own papers so that they can gain experience. I probably did come off as a lazy bum. But was looking at anyone else experience with these kind of questions.
  20. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 10:20 PM) HURRAY! The $7.5M closer has been competent at his job for 3 straight games! It's kind of sad when that's a big f***ing deal. While I agree that Jenks been pitching like complete turd, and Greg likes to overvalue anyone from the 2005 squad, Bobby only blew 1 save so far. The last on this teams long list of problems.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 06:40 PM) Do you agree or disagree? Is youth and energy superior to age and experience? I would say I disagree because knowledge comes down to education and experience. Older generations has the experience but needs to stay updated on modern technology etc to 'stay in business'. Younger generation, while having the most recent educations might sometimes lack in experience needed to resolve an issue. Something along these lines.
  22. Any english majors out there? I'm currently filling out an application to work in another country *yikes* and they ask this question. Younger generation knows best, agree or disagree? (not less than 5 but not more than 10 senteces) Can anyone help me with this? I would like to make sure the level of english is superior.
  23. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) So this streak guarantees Omar a spot in the lineup for about 2 months, am I right? I hope he keeps it up because even when we are terrible I can't help but continue to watch the games and it is nice to get a series win over a division rival. Now SWEEP THE CUBS! Well, he won't be in the lineup this weekend, he is going to take care of personal matter in Venezuela.
