If Burger is gonna swing at everything he needs to be out of the lineup once Eloy is back.

Yankees are not a good offense right now but Lynn just sucks.

I want Moncada to succeed for lots of reasons, but especially so this image is used more often.

Moncada 2023 Edition
Moncada doesn't have a motivation problem. He has a back problem. That's why he's missed so much time, that's why he's lost power, that's why he grimaces when swinging, that's why his defense hasn't suffered. Unfortunately, a back problem is way worse than a motivation problem, it's why he'll likely never reach his potential, and it's also why he's stuck here. No one is taking a guy making $20+ million/year with a bad back.

4 pitches to hit. High slider strikes him out.

Robert had two decent pitches to hit.

Lynn is shaping up to be a DFA candidate... is what I would say, if the Sox had anyone in the minors who could put up less than a 6 ERA

Not a good at-bat from Romy. He should know he's going to get tons of sliders and to lay off anything on the outer third, but he swings at one of them to go 0-1, then one to strike out. Those sliders were pretty well-located, sure, but you have to be aware of how these guys are going to work you. You're not going to get center cut fastballs to start an at-bat very often, and the one he did get in the middle of the at-bat he missed.

Yeah it's absolutely swinging at bad pitches and not taking walks. Run scoring comes down to BABIP luck.

I’m trying so hard to believe in these guys but this team is just bad. How they think they can not take any walks and win is mind boggling.

I don’t agree with bringing him in for this situation at all, after beating cancer, when he needs that adrenaline from closing to pitch well. The results unfortunately show why this was bad move.

I still think Kopech figured something out. He was dynamite after that awful first. He needs to limit those innings and he’ll be good. Now, can the entire offense stop slumping at the same time?
