I think Nix is playing SS only to show if he can be a back up on the Sox. This move has nothing to do with Beckham other than to keep in the lineup tonight.

My expectations for Jordan Danks are low. Let's see what he can do over the next couple years, and then talk in 2011.

Contreras is still pitching tomorrow. If he's bad tomorrow, they can skip him to the 25th. If he's bad on the 25th, they can skip him to May 5th. I like how that option sets up, with the off days on the 20th and 30th.
