  1. Infante: 0 runs in 12 innings this season. 13 K's
  2. My expectations for Jordan Danks are low. Let's see what he can do over the next couple years, and then talk in 2011.
  3. Contreras is still pitching tomorrow. If he's bad tomorrow, they can skip him to the 25th. If he's bad on the 25th, they can skip him to May 5th. I like how that option sets up, with the off days on the 20th and 30th.
  4. I'll guess it's a day/nighter on Friday, July 24.
  5. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) One of the guys pitching tomorrow would have to pitch Sunday. Oh yeah. Duh.
  6. Lillibridge 2b Fields 3b Quentin lf Thome dh Dye rf Konerko 1b Pierzynski c Ramirez ss Anderson cf
  7. They'll probably play, but this wouldn't be the worst game to get rained out. Both teams have next Monday off, so they wouldn't have to worry about pitching anyone on short rest if there is a doubleheader on Wednesday.
  8. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 10:25 PM) Apparently Victor and Lucas have "history." The Barons announcer siad Beckham getting hit tonight was payback. Started a nice rally.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) "Our Evan Longoria?" I think so. What I want to know---why the hell did the Reds pass on Beckham for another lefty 1B, in Alonso? They have Votto and Bruce for lefty power. I'm not saying Alonso is going to be a bust, but wow I think they blew it. So, thank you, Reds.

QUOTE (chunk23 @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 09:02 PM) I think Allen is gonna force KW's hand the way Howard forced Thome out. Of course it was a lot easier to trade Thome back then compared to trying to trade one of Thome/Konerko. Every time I get frustrated by the current White Sox, I'm going to remind myself that the future of this team is going to get better and soon. We're in the last year of this old team.

Charlotte got a hit. Whoopee. Barons up 6-0. John Ely threw 5 shutout innings. 2 hits. 4 walks. 5 strikeouts.

Charlotte no hits through 7. Beckham HBP. RBI singles by Allen and Viciedo. 4-0 Barons.

Charlotte no hits thru 6. Must miss JO.
  14. I like them. Hawk is still the same, but he can't push Stone around like he did DJ.
  15. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 05:34 PM) Since 2006. Homestands are either 5 or 10 days. Only one 10 game homestand this year for the Barons though. Interesting. I guess this is the first time I looked at minor league schedule.
  16. I noticed the AA schedule is pretty much all 5-game series throughout the season. Is this new for 2009, or have they done this before? I kinda like it. One time through everyone's rotation.
  17. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 12, 2009 -> 08:58 PM) Thanks, the update is much appreciated. I like how Beckham is now being intentionally walked in clutch situations. Theyre learning not to give Slayer anything in those situations. I think anyone would have been intentionally walked in that situation. They intentioanlly walked him after the bad pickoff that moved the runners up.
  18. Bottom of the 10th- Shelby walked Hudson bunted, bad throw at 2nd. Both safe. Bad pickoff, Beckham intentionally walked. Allen base hit. Barons win 7-6
  19. Brandon Allen with the game winner.
  20. Beckham due up 3rd in the bottom of the 10th. 6-6 game. He's 1-3, with a double and a walk.

I kinda wish they would just stick Viciedo in LF and get it over with.

Two HBP's and two wild pitches for Dexter Carter. Otherwise, he's been real good. 6 innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 run, 6 K's
  23. 2-3 for Beck. RBI
  24. Winner, winner. Chicken Dinner!! 4 hits, baby!!
  25. OK Gordo, end this thing.
