So now what with Gordon Beckham on the DL, and Jordan Danks moved to Birmingham? Might David Cook go to AAA?

Lucas Harrell--6 innings, 1 run on 3 hits and 4 walks. 5 strikeouts.

Barons bat around in the 2nd inning. Allen 2-rbi single. 5-0

Beckham is not back in the lineup and is still day-to-day. He may play tomorrow or Wednesday.

Boers was just repeating what he heard from somebody in the Sox organization. It wasn't based on his own observations.

If Torres goes 7 tonight with minimal walks and 2 or fewer runs, I'd give him a shot. Maybe not next Wednesday, but the turn after that.

Ride it out this year. Don't rush the kids.

Second homer of the night for CJ Retherford. 5 homers this season. Why isn't this guy a real prospect again? Because he's ugly or something?

Jhonny Nunez hitting the skids lately.

Barons lead 6-5, 6th inning. Bases loaded, nobody out with Brandon Allen at the plate... Allen walked, gift RBI Viciedo sac fly Cook out Cruz basehit, scoring Flowers Retherford with a tape measure 3-run shot 12-5 Barons

Abdominal strain for Beckham. Will miss tonight and probably Saturday. They have a scheduled off day on Sunday, and hopes to be back on Monday. It happened in his first AB last night. He bunted, thought it was foul and got a late jump out of the box. Then on his double later on he said he really felt it bad. This is coming from the Barons announcer, Curt Bloom.

Beckham left the game in the 5th inning last night, and is not in the lineup tonight. Anyone? Anyone?

I'm looking forward to Beckham hitting clothesline shots into the Sox bullpen the next 10-15 years.

Beckham pulled after the 5th inning...callup? Kidding.

2-run bomb for BA. Viciedo with 2 hits. Gartrell RBI single Cruz 2-run homer. 7-1 Barons, 5th

14 doubles for Gordo.

Morel has a triple in Game 2. Up to .287. Also has 6 homers, 10 stolen bases, and hasn't committed an error yet. Santo Luis lost Game 2 in the 7th. He's been bad.

W-S wins 8-0. Brent Morel was 3-4, homered. Too bad Hudson has a rain shortened outing, but it was a good. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...wswafa_frdafa_1

So far, so good for Hudson. 2 perfect innings. 3 strikeouts. 5-0 Dash Danks, double

3-run homer for Myrow. Down 8-7 in the 8th. ...off Dewon Day.

Barons win 13-4.

Beckham 2-5, SF, 3 RBIs 13-4 Barons

Looks like more rain is about to hit Montgomery, AL. Still a win. Kannapolis won 9-3 http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...kanafx_lwdafx_1

What's the story on Justin Edwards? He pitched for Kannapolis in 2007, but was in independent ball in 2008. Today for Kanny: 5 innings, 1 walk, 9 K's

Beckham had a 3-1 count with 1st and 2nd, 2 out. Lee Cruz got picked off first. Ugh.
