  1. Surprised his glasses don't fog up in this weather. That would drive me nuts pitching.
  2. Hope he gets a night out in Chicago before going to Norfolk.
  3. I judge Hall of Fame candidacies from age 23-37, because under that, they're super young and generally struggle...and after 37, players are on the way out. So next year is Moncada's age 23 season. Just take the good with the bad for now. Judge him next year when he shows up to spring training with a job and plays 155 games.
  4. 3 games ahead of (behind) the Phillies with 40 left, which means the Sox have to be 4 games worse the rest of the way for a higher pick. 2nd is fine.
  5. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/899704956181151748 Moncada batting 2.
  6. Just remembered the Sox host the Giants in September. Start Volstad, Danish, and Beck.
  7. My opinion on percentage chance of the Sox pick: 1st- 20% 2nd- 65% 3rd- 10% 4th- 5%
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 20, 2017 -> 06:36 PM) Yeah, you need to update the records. They're all off after the Sox just about. It's everyone's record after 122--except the Sox.
  9. Draft order with 40 games left for everyone-- 1. Phi 45-77 2. Sox 47-74 (game 122 tomorrow) 3. SF 48-74 4. Cin 51-71 5. Oak 53-69 6. Det 53-69 7. SD 54-68 8. NYM 54-68 9. Atl 55-67 10. Pit 58-64 11. Tor 59-63 12. TB 60-62 13. Mia 60-62 14. Bal 60-62
  10. Sunday: Phillies won, Sox won, Giants lost, Reds lost 42 days left Team (Games left) - Sox Magic Number to have higher pick: 1. Phillies(40) - 44 2. White Sox (41) 3. Giants(36) - 38 4. Reds(37) - 36
  11. Phillies tie up the Giants in the 8th. Still hitting.
  12. QUOTE (Insp @ Aug 20, 2017 -> 03:13 PM) Interesting how you've done so much to denigrate the guy, yet you can't understand why other teams are not willing to give the Sox top prospects to get him. I have? Maybe you're confusing me with someone else.
  13. I'll jinx him bad I'm sure, but why wouldn't a contending team want Gonzalez? He's no world beater every time, but you get innings and a lot of good innings.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 20, 2017 -> 02:20 PM) Moncada shin splints update? Day to day? Could come off the bench, according to Renteria.
  15. Tatis is a teenager in AA.
  16. Here is the podcast page for the Hostetler hour. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/audio/hit-run-on-670-the-score/
  17. Hostetler on the Score in studio from 10-11am. I will not be summarizing.
  18. Saturday: Phillies won, Sox lost, Giants lost, Reds won 43 days left Team (Games left) - Sox Magic Number to have higher pick: 1. Phillies(41) - 45 2. White Sox (42) 3. Giants(37) - 38 4. Reds(38) - 36
  19. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 19, 2017 -> 10:17 PM) Reds won, Phillies (!!!) are now up on the Giants (Ty Kelly literally just hit a grand slam). Padres are up. Padres have been over .500 for the last couple months, believe it or not.
  20. Modern day Mercy Rule- Play 3 hours, finish the inning, call it if the losing team wants to.
  21. Holland will probably be an entertaining tv personality.
  22. Fun times. Reds and Giants are cementing that 2nd pick too.
  23. Moncada scratched with shin splints. Yikes. https://mobile.twitter.com/whitesox/status/...2645761/photo/1
