  1. Caulfield-- I caught myself and remembered he missed time. Calm down dude. And Viciedo sucks.
  2. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 05:24 PM) Dude, I keep catching you in these edits. And this is not directed a you, but people wanted to write off Viciedo coming off a 25 HR season as a 23 year old are crazy to me. Give him some time for Christ sake. One week ago people were sucking his dick around here, now some of those same people want to trade him. Baseball is not supposed to be over-analyzed on a daily basis. I was reminding people of hot he was in May 2012. Other than two weeks last year, he was pretty mediocre. I don't like Viciedo as a player, and I don't think he'll improve that much. I certainly don't think he's a guy you want to plan to be a 3-4-5 hitter on a winning team.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 05:23 PM) Viciedo is a career. 224 hitter vs RHP and a .356 hitter vs LHP. Bernstein was talking about his swing this week and how he makes no adjustments with his hands, etc. based on where the pitch is. I think he's a garbage player, but that's just me.
  4. Viciedo on pace for a whopping 12 homers and 39 RBIs. (he was injured though)
  5. Beckham didn't play today, so maybe he said he's ready and he'll be activated tomorrow night.
  6. Royals-- Games 1-27: 17-10 Games 28-54: 6-21 That's baseball.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 04:12 PM) And overall his OPS there is .768. He's had a weird career because of his illness. He's good now. I'm not saying bring him up tomorrow, but if Flowers has a dreadful June and Phegley is still hitting, I'd bounce Flowers.
  8. Today is Phegley's 166th game with Charlotte. I'm willing to gamble.
  9. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 04:01 PM) Tigers are having a rough week. And yet they hit the 1/3 mark at 30-24. On pace for 90 wins. They'll get hot and win 95. But yeah, their bullpen isn't great--lower ERA than the Sox by the way.
  10. I wish it were like the old days when a guy got drafted, you didn't hear from him again for 3-4 years, and you were lucky to see his stats once a week in the Sunday paper. But the internet makes that impossible and it's fun to follow a guy from day 1 of his professional career. Sometimes we need to realize these guys are super young, and haven't played a lot of baseball if they come out of high school. I just hope Hawkins keeps a good attitude, is coachable, and progresses each year. My only beef so far, is the Sox probably should have started him at Kanny at age 19. But we'll see how the next few months go.
  11. Tigers lose. Bullpen couldn't bail out Porcello. Also hit into 4 DPs.
  12. Here's that Hahn interview... http://chicago.cbslocal.com/audio/986-670-...-interviews#986
  13. Sac fly for Phegley. He also made a throwing error. His 3rd error.
  14. Hawkins- K. Welcome back.
  15. Hawkins is off the DL. Dash (28-26) lineup v. CAR: DeMichele-2B, Curley-DH, Smith-C, Farrell-3B, Hawkins-CF, Haddow-RF, Ravelo-1B, Buckner-LF, Herbek-SS/Beck-RHP Game will start in a rain delay.

  17. Alejandro De Aza LF, Alexei Ramirez SS, Conor Gillaspie 3B, Dayan Viciedo DH, Adam Dunn 1B, Casper Wells RF, Jordan Danks CF, Tyler Flowers C, Tyler Greene 2B
  18. QUOTE (Jimbo1965 @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 11:35 AM) Isn't Ravelo the guy that quit last year? I believe he had to take a leave for a family issue.
  19. Dewayne Wise on the DL with a hamstring. Jordan Danks recalled. The brothers are on the 25-man for the first time.
  20. Sale's going. Which is nice. A's lineup https://twitter.com/Athletics/status/341218...4102145/photo/1
  21. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 12:52 AM) Semien starting to heat it up. Up to .279 with .380 OBP. Rangel Ravelo continues to hit. Hitting .386 at W-S. Still needs to show some pop though, especially for a 1B. Semien seems to be making his way up the ladder very nicely. He's versatile in the field and can hit a little bit. At the very least, I think he'll play in the majors some day. I can't say that about Walker and Mitchell.
  22. Charlotte walked 12 batters and only allowed 3 runs. That's hard to do. Veal had 4 of them. Bassitt with another good start.
  23. https://twitter.com/susanslusser/status/340987978446954496 I've noticed Gimenez being animated a few times this year and figured it would be an issue at some point this year. Not that I'm blaming him.
  24. This would be so stressful if the Sox were good.
