I don't see how. This isn't football when you can just cut someone who isn't playing satisfactorily. These guys have guaranteed contracts and if you're going to talk about "meaningful" than names like Beckham and Viciedo and Vizquel and Teahen better not be uttered next... But whatever - move some silly pieces around and willfully ignore the fact that no matter what the roster turn over, we go through ENTIRE TEAM slumps, get baffled by rookie pitchers, and it's always too cold in April-June to hit the f***ing ball consistently for now the 5th year in a row. - Walker is first to show/last to leave - "Small ball" our way to an inspired team - Players play, not coaches blahblahblah... In the name of the Kenny, the Ozzie, and the Walker......Allin.

Ryan Sweeney, Chris Getz, Gio (Part I and II).... all "just guys". Just guys we MISSED and now produce elsewhere better than what we settled with. They won't light the world on fire, I agree with you. But they look better when they leave our organization then when they had chances here. That is telling.

Tigers came out swinging first/second pitch...all night. It makes sense. Bad weather; a pitcher wants to control the count...they didn't want to let Buehrle do that to them so, bang him early and build momentum. We did the exact opposite. Tried to work counts and got burned. The lineup sucked. Morel and Beckham looked like the youngbloods they are. He did the same thing every damn time - fastball fastball fastball - all for strikes, then junk. They fell for it every time. And Dunn - for f***s sake.... It's like he's got a plastic hip on that right side. I still don't get the Sox hitting philosophy. It's like there's no plan, scouting, or "leadership" to assist them. I'm not talking about Greg Walker teaching people how to swing - but how about some f***ing strategy? He's seen Verlander how many times? I see other teams figure us out all the time, and it's like we either bomb by luck or fail massively. Frustrating team to watch and I can clearly see many of completely lost (talking about YOU Beckham, Morel, and Alexei) players and it's not their fault because who the hell can teach teach them better? The Silent Captain? Our stitched up DH? S***ty CF? Greg Walker? Christ, I feel sorry for them....

Yeah, weird. I remember seeing him at TEP a few years back and thinking - wow, this guy hits a s*** ton. Years later, he's 700 Gs in the minors and only 50 something in the bigs, but the numbers are similar but for the value power... But we've seen that so many times because call-ups are almost always put in a s*** hole where there's no OBP, driving the SLG down.... Whatever - Pena sucks, that's for sure.

Looked it up myself... Still prolly more valuable than s***ty Pena, but that's comparing Charmin to store-brand....
