You can't seriously be comparing the killing of Osama to the killing of a serviceman.

The bolded part of this quote is significant. On paper, this team SHOULD kick ass. And yet, EVERY part of the game needs to be turned around. Both true statements. You have proven talent at nearly every position, a very good rotation, and what should be a decent (not great) bullpen. This team should be scoring runs in double digits almost every night. When an entire TEAM is failing from both sides of the plate, at the same time, it is not a roster problem. It's not a minors system problem. If the roster isn't playing like a team, and it doesn't play with inspiration, and it takes weeks to work out issues, and issues are so systemic that EVERYONE is affected at the same time.... how is blowing s*** up going to matter? Even if we had a great farm system, you're talking about putting all that promise in the hands of the same ineptitude that's been running things since 04. Seems to me if you're looking for the the worst scenario, there should be a 4th option which reads - "Any of the above with the same mgmt/coaching staff".

For me, I don't think firing both Ozzie and KW together makes much sense. The organization needs to choose a philosophy and stick with it. Are we going to try and be a small ball team, or live/die with the big hit/HRs. The last 10 years have shown us that when this team enjoys any measure of success, it's through power and big hitters. NOBODY in this organization is capable of even teaching small ball, yet here is Ozzie calling for bunts, and steals, and hit and runs in bad count situation while we squander outs and baserunners with no results. Hell, even in the 2005!!1!!! we hit 200HRs. Now we have yet another team that is built for power and we're not scoring. Without dredging up all the other bulls*** that Ozzie brings to the table with his antics, the simple fact is that he is not managing to the strengths of the team as constructed and even with a real DH this time, we see the same "trash garbage". I'd like to see him go and a double whammy of him and Walker together hitting the road would be ideal. My .02.

I think we're going to walk away with this series. How do I know? It's absolutly pouring in the city here today so looking like PPD.

Remember last year when Walker and Rios went to Florida to fix him and Walker proclaimed after 5 swings he was fine? That was awesome.

Yeah, it's no joke and they definitely do. My brother works for the feds (IT job for the "State Dept") and went through a year and half of background investigation before he could get his clearance. It's scary what they look at and how many candidates are dropped just because of what is dug up on them in the social networking scene....

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm

I wonder if the Sox PLAYERS actually care this much about reeling an outlier in. -

So, you're happy to take Sale's first 2 outs in the 8th, your angry (now) that Crain wasn't called for the last out, and then Santos, of course, for the save we finally...FINALLY get in the 9th. And why? Because Santos should ONLY be asked to work in the 9th "IF" he's our closer. I think Ozzie bunts too much and plays L-R matchups when it's unnecessary.... ALOT. I think these things are wasted outs and baserunners and it pisses me off. But you are arguing about expending MORE players than was necessary and for no reason. That's... that's just crazy. I don't even understand why you would ...well, ask for anything in that game to be different, really. -

Use Crain the 8th for what? Sale was rolling. If you want to argue that eighth, how about doing NOTHING and leaving him in? Andruw Jones sucks. WE know this, especially from the bench. It's a 4 f***ing game series. And R vs L is about as far as Ozzie takes an analysis. I can't believe people want more and different people in this game when less was clearly better (and probably, unnecessary). -
That's not all. He stands batters straight up. Even with runners (not that he had many). I'm watching this guy and going...holy s***, this kid has balls. You have to be strong to still throw 94 like that, as if 94 isn't hard enough. He was really great to watch.

I'd give that a 10 if you had that angry baby image on top. -

Uggh.... I quit. You're all over the place. I'd way rather b**** about the lack of hitting. -

See???? I said the same s***, like you Badge, when it happened, so nobody is on the Ozzie bullpen mgmt tip. And this man was there where you get the best feel for the game. -
There's 3 to go and a sweep takes a series too. God, if we could only hit like we did the first 9. The Yankees pitching is so unimpressive. That's $. Look at that WHIP. And against the most disciplined hitting team (statistically speaking) in baseball. Definitely a hook; not a slider.

So we agree? Fire Walker? LOL.... I certainly didn't get that from what you were saying, but I too wanted no parts of Thornton in this game and I was ALOT more clear about that than you! THUS - High-five. -

Ok, but that IS pretty much what happened, but for one last out in the 8th, no? You are pissed that Santos was called for the last out in the 8th, then stayed and...you know...was a closer? I just don't get your beef...at all. -

^^ That part, Badge. Also, you advocated him in an earlier post where you said you care about players. Maybe you do - that's fine. Maybe you really like certain guys and want them to succeed and take it hard when they fail or aren't called upon. But this team is losing at a 90% clip in a division where the Cleveland Indians are in the lead, and the Tigers, Sox, and Twinkies have all been involved in a 163 game season in the last 3 years just to be called "winner". These games f***ing count and they mean something NOW. And that's without talking about how we should have 5 Ws more than we do. I'm tired of excuses and explanations from the White Sox organization when we are REPEATEDLY in this position. So it was really nice...to see pride put down and go with guys who are pitching well (almost - I still think Sale could've/should've stayed). In conclusion - Fire Walker. -

Now you're trying to have it both ways. First - forget MT. NOBODY but you is advocating him. Second - What if? 3 people already acknowledged that the right-lefty thing was horses*** pulling Sale against Jones anyway. That was 2 outs at that point. Girardi burned 3....3 player spots over that. Honestly...there is no history to play against Sale. He is new and raw and has fantastic s***. Let him pitch. He'd have f***ing torched Jones, IMO anyway. As long as MT never took his jacket off, this game was (finally) well managed from my seat. -

 I have yet to see MT get an "out or two". -

So, you had the problem with Sale getting pulled against Jones? If so, I don't think anybody disagrees with you. Or, at least, I don't. -

We won fellas - and a 1-0 game, really pitched by a rook fill in, thanks to Jake! Let's be happy Ozzie didn't actually f*** this one up. Humber, Sale, and Serge - all fantastic tonight for a 2-0 win against a big hitting team in a bandbox. Not to mention we were losing at a 90% clip walking in here.... -

Yeah, not sure what he's pissed about. I didn't want Sale pulled either when the action was happening, but once Sergio was in, I wanted him to stay and keep MT out. His WHIP is f***ing higher than anyone in baseball now, but he's freaking out. -

Don't say "thus" to me.... That's just not right. Also - go back and look at the GT. I questioned the whole move to pull Sale too. -

Insanity was 5 situations repeated over and over yet the same results. Tonight - not that. Different results. It's actually the definition. Next, we'll hopefully do something about the hitting situation where you know - there's more "insanity".
