QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 02:03 PM) How many of them won their conference tournament? Zero. All at-larges.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 01:50 PM) Truth be told, lack of big wins or not, Iowa right now is just as good of a basketball team as Illinois or Minnesota and they are in. Iowa has to beat NU, beat MSU and win another to get in. If Iowa is 9-9 in the Big 10 without beating anybody, the 8-10 teams who have beaten good teams have some brutal losses. But that is how it is. Its not like any of them are going to win. Many years ago, back when Jalen was playing and Digger was coaching, that was a general rule. If you weren't at least .500 in your conference, you were NIT bound at best. From 1985-1994, 15 teams made the tourney with a losing conference record. From 2001-2012, 10 teams have.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 11:20 AM) It's amazing how poorly we have shot since the Missouri game. It's amazing how well we shot from the start of the season to the Missouri game.

Anyone know if these games are streaming online somewhere? Thanks.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 07:02 AM) We do seem to have a knack for players coming back from the dead. Maybe we should sign Darryl Kile for some rotation depth? -
QUOTE (dasox24 @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 08:15 PM) You worry about that when the time comes. For now, they'll just enjoy all of the cheap, young talent they have. Exactly, try to win the Super Bowl now, worry about the rest later. Plus, guys get hurt, upset, slow, etc. Some of those roster decisions take care of themselves.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 07:40 PM) I think Indiana will win, but I also think that their most likely loss is going to be the first game, early morning after a long break, perfect moment for a trap game. I like the way you think! (If the Illini show up vs. Minnesota)

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 03:54 PM) @AdamSchefter Wes Welker has agreed to terms with Denver Broncos. Broncos play in New England next year

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 03:24 PM) St. Louis radio is saying that Stephen Jackson will sign with Packers and that Long is having a physical in STL. That's not good news for the Bears, GB finally has an actual RB

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 01:46 PM) New pope? What was his signing bonus? Is he cap friendly? The last pope resigned with an "upper-body" injury

What if the kid from Eurotrip steps out on the balcony?

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 8, 2013 -> 01:57 PM) Best seats are in the Dress Circle level, but those are probably expensive. The front half of the mezzanine and the front few rows of the balcony are decent seats. They seem to charge by row, the front few rows of the dress circle & mezzanine are "premium" are are nearly double the cost of sitting a few rows back in the same sections. Don't really see anything that drastic with sporting event tickets. Leaning towards seats in the back rows of the dress circle, seem worth the money as compared to the middle of the balcony.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 08:28 AM) Why you no post "Everybody Wang Chung Tonite"? I was just setting it on the tee for someone else to crush a home run.

The Eagles have signed OT Ed Wang and S Patrick Chung

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 01:00 AM) For those who were close to burning some Derrick Rose jerseys a few weeks ago, Derrick also cleared the air by saying Reggie is entitled to his own opinions about the team, whatever he said about the team, that's him, while he himself still backs the organization. Of course Derrick said that. He is maintaining his public image while letting Reggie speak on how they truly feel.

Alright Cutler. You still have your Pro Bowl RB, you have a stud #1 WR, now you have a TE and a LT, not to mention an offensive minded coach. Time to score some f***ing points.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) Oh hey, a TE that doesn't completely suck. Rozner sums it up best: Barry Rozner @BarryRozner If Bennett arrives with anywhere from 4 to 10 fingers, he's an upgrade at tight end. #bears

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 02:19 PM) I don't know what their best seats, they have a lot of price points, but it seems like you can still get decent seats for the opener. Their season ticket renewals must have cratered. Yet their season ticket waiting list is supposedly 30,000 deep.

6-7 years ago that was the worst franchise in all of sports -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 09:56 AM) NFL free agency is awesome. No messing around. Guys sign quickly before teams run out of cap room. True, but all the guaranteed & non-guaranteed money & random cap hits hide how much a player is actually earning and costing a team.
-
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 09:50 PM) Ticket sales appear to be alarmingly slow for Cubs. Bleacher seats still available for Opening Day. It turns out a chunk of their fanbase actually does care about winning.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 09:34 PM) It'll be interesting to see if the Creighton win can get St Mary's into the dance cause their resume pretty much sucks outside that one home win. Great job of non-conference scheduling by the St. Marys coach, may cost them a bid -

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 10:13 PM) Tournament of most hated college athletes of the last 30 years. If for no other reason, had to post it for Duke having their own bracket. No Jon Scheyer? Awful job by the selection committee -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 07:55 PM) Lets hope they are doing it for the right reasons. Many people dont realize that NFP's can pay salaries, so for all we know the NFP is merely so that they can get donations and give tax write offs, while at the same time making large money. Its easier to get money from a corp when you can give a tax write off, than when you cant. So its likely they are cashing in on their name, the hope is that they are really doing it for the kids and not using the NFP as a tax shelter for their rich friends. This is a common problem with NFPs and one of the reasons Im kind of a dick to clients who call in about them. I only want to help them if they are truly doing it for charity. If they ask about salary and how they can pay themselves I find a reason to say they cant. The Zeller family seems like good people though, so I think they are doing it for the right reasons. That seems to be popular with many professional athletes. Start up a "charity" so mom, sis, Uncle Bob, Cousin Sue, all have paid jobs, while the charity actually donates about 10% of what it actually brings in.
