Illini came to play, I can't be too upset, it's nice to have fun in the NCAA tourney again. If DJ could have hit a couple threes, that game could have been won, but Miami is a damn good team and Illinois frustrated the hell out of them. Last year this same roster plus an NBA center finished under .500, funny what a difference a year can make.

They are in the same conference, so affiliation wouldn't have affected it. That would have solved the whole problem. Cal had already played UNLV which made it worse.
