  1. Frazier is so off balanced on everything right now.
  2. DFW is boring as hell. Austin's way better, but I'm biased. It's pretty barren as a pro sports town, but there's a lot more cool and hip things to do in Austin.
  3. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ May 9, 2016 -> 03:25 PM) 1. Adam Eaton (L) RF 2. Jimmy Rollins (S) SS 3. Jose Abreu ® 1B 4. Todd Frazier ® 3B 5. Melky Cabrera (S) LF 6. Brett Lawrie ® 2B 7. Avisail Garcia ® DH 8. Alex Avila (L) C 9. Austin Jackson ® CF 1. Rougned Odor (L) 2B 2. Nomar Mazara (L) RF 3. Adrian Beltre ® 3B 4. Prince Fielder (L) DH 5. Ian Desmond ® LF 6. Mitch Moreland (L) 1B 7. Elvis Andrus ® SS 8. Bobby Wilson ® C 9. Delino DeShields ® CF Dioner's bat has been money as of late, but my god is he awful at pitch framing. Nate Jones' walk yesterday pretty much confirmed that for me. Avila's bat might be pretty weak, but at least he can frame a bit better.
  4. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 9, 2016 -> 11:55 AM) You mention Toronto with an elite offense, but their pitching is really piss poor. The only AL club that has a great offense and at least average pitching is Texas. Texas does not have good pitching. I'd even say their pitching is below average until they get Darvish back. Toronto's actually half a run better than Texas right now in terms of ERA.
  5. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 9, 2016 -> 03:33 PM) These all-city teams get put together each year. Do we want to speculate a little early? Preseason the joke was that the all-city team would be all Cubs. I'm seeing us with six spots: LF: melky CF: fowler RF: eaton 3B: bryant SS: russell 2B: zobrist (tough luck for lawrie, career year type start for him) 1B: rizzo C: navarro (factoring in the great work with latos) SP: sale arrieta quintana lester lackey closer: robertson I'll go against the sabr perspective to put robertson in there. but latos cant go over lackey. every indication is that latos has been a beneficiary of outside forces, whereas lackey has been hurt by them. lester makes it but it should be noted he's been fortunate to be leaving so many on base avisail wins the DH battle as he is running unopposed (though last year his WAR lost when compared to 0.0, so this is progress) Alright tear me apart!! I'd put Hammel in there instead of Lackey if you're willing to put Fowler in front of Heyward.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 7, 2016 -> 01:09 PM) Moustakas to DL with fractured thumb. Royals' luck from the past two seasons is starting to run out.
  7. Not really looking forward to this game... Spot starter vs. guy we can never hit.
  8. Cubs are on pace for 107 wins according to fivethirtyeight
  9. Phew! Should have called the slider more.
  10. Sano has to be the king of warning track shots.
  11. I really hate it when umpires don't give strike calls because a pitcher missed his spot or because the catcher caught it poorly. A strike is a strike.
  12. I know Nate missed on location on 4 pitches in that AB, but all of those pitches had a part of the plate...
  13. Dioner really sucks at framing.
  14. That slider was filthy.
  15. Duffey gets 4 Ks in the inning and still gives up a run.
  16. I think this might be one of the few intent BBs of Eaton's career.
  17. Arcia took the least optimal route imaginable to that ball. A mediocre RFer cuts that off before it gets to the wall.
  18. Huge insurance run. Another double by Navarro.
  19. Even when Avi strikes out, he gets on first
  20. Stone just said Quintana might go out there for the 8th...I really don't think that's a good idea. We haven't even used Robertson yet this series. Might as well use Jones in the 8th.
  21. Get Q out of there. They're squaring him up right now. Edit: nevermind lol
  22. Q's getting hit a bit hard right now, but so far they've been right at our fielders.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2016 -> 02:47 PM) Pull happy I don't think I've seen a hitter roll over on balls as much as him. So many weak grounders to third.
  24. Sox are really killing Duffey's curveballs the past two innings.
