  1. The only reason to sign him is so we don't have to face him.
  2. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 11:38 AM) Baker is probably one of the most underappreciated managers. Guy took the Giants to the series, then did amazing for the Cubs (Prior and Wood's arms would have blown up with any manager....not just Dusty)...then goes to the Reds and they win. Oh and with the exception of the Giants (who are a great organization), the Cubs and Reds went into the crapper after Baker left. Baker will do a great job for the Nats. Dusty didn't help Wood or Prior. Let's not forget he also ruined Volquez before the Pirates resurrected him. Cueto didn't have the best injury history either under Dusty. With a Nationals team that features fragile arms in Strasburg and possibly Giolito next year, the front office better have Dusty on a leash in regards to innings and pitch limits.
  3. Hopefully that should do it.
  4. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 11:09 PM) Haha. I found it more funny that Olsen catches the next play one handed. Yup he showed him how to catch a ball. Then Ginn catches an absolute bullet falling to the ground...come on man.
  5. What a choke job by the Panthers.
  6. QUOTE (shysocks @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 10:58 AM) Harold Reynolds is just unbelievably bad. How can they not do better than him? Harold Reynolds said Kelly Johnson could "hit home runs with the best of them" last night when he was put in as a pinch hitter. Kelly Johnson, the guy with a .172 career ISO. Another Fox analyst tidbit: I was re-watching some 05 WS stuff last night and while I've seen Pods' HR about a hundred times, I noticed something last night. McCarver literally jinxed Lidge right before the pitch of the HR. Buck asked McCarver if Garner should have pitched Lidge in game 6 of the NLCS to get the taste out of his mouth from giving up that monstrous HR to Pujols. McCarver replied with "I don't think that taste exists". Right after he said it, boom, walk-off HR.
  7. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:17 PM) I believe two things about Gase. 1) Gase is doing less with more on the offensive side than Fangio is on the defensive side 2) Gase is gone next year. I'm hopeful, but I'm not assuming Fangio doesn't get the call. The Niners should have made Fangio head coach. Half of their team probably wouldn't have retired...
  8. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 12:13 AM) How badly did Murphy screw himself on the free agent market? Yikes I hope we stay away from him, hes a meme. Cespedes screwed himself too.
  9. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:23 PM) I'm sure there's plenty of teams before 1980 that hit fewer than 139 homers. The Royals actually hit a few homers this year. Perez, Moustakas, Hosmer, and Morales were all around 20. In the current run environment, that's actually pretty decent.
  10. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:22 PM) Leaving Harvey in after the walk was bad. How does Niese not go out there for a second inning. How bad is the national league? I don't get the rationale of throwing Niese for only one inning. He's a god damn starting pitcher. Let him go 3 innings for all I care.
  11. So with the Royals winning it all, they're probably going to re-sign Gordon. They might even have the space to sign a decent pitcher to replace Cueto.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:18 PM) I think we are all winning to live with that Yup I'm fine with the Royals winning it as long as the Cubs don't.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:17 PM) Don't get into a bullpen contest vs the Royals. You will lose. And they don't even have Holland...
  14. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:16 PM) I don't think I've seen a player choke so much defensively than Murphy has in quite some time. He's not really a second baseman.
  15. It looks like the Mets used up all their magic in the NLDS and NLCS.
  16. The Mets blew 2 9th inning leads and one 8th inning lead. SMH.
  17. If it wasn't ball game before, it's ball game now.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:08 PM) Guy they picked over Sale Imagine if this Royals team had Sale...god that's a scary thought.
  19. Had the Mets executed like they had in the two previous series, they would have closed this series out already.
  20. Rusty Kuntz with a hell yeah! lol
  21. Christian Colon...lmao
  22. Not liking Reed in this situation.
  23. I never thought I'd see Aaron Rodgers only pass for 76 yards.
  24. New York should have won both Harvey starts, but managing and the bullpen basically screwed them over.
