  1. Rios with a three bagger.
  2. Mendoza's slowly becoming 2012's Bruce Chen. Ugh.
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) These threads have become "Tigers Game Thread feat. White Sox commentary" We're just giving you some side commentary, that's all. We want to share the great thing that is MLB.tv.
  4. Verlander just aced Teixiera on three straight curveballs.
  5. Error by Verlander gets the Yanks on the board.
  6. Luis Mendoza looks so stupid with his mullet.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 04:52 PM) Interestingly, it looks like those are solely based on fangraphs team WAR. What they do is that they take the WAR winning percentage and the actual winning percentage and adjust them as the season goes on. As the season progresses, actual winning percentage makes up more and more of the total. That's how FanGraphs did it last year.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 09:22 AM) Mendoza pitched well against us last time out...need to have a bit of a better showing against this fool. He had his good curveball last time out.
  9. QUOTE (RME JICO @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:53 PM) For the Tigers, that would be a split with NY and 1-2 at Texas. That is probably the best they will do because I don't see them winning 3 of 4 against NY or winning 2 of 3 in Texas. We get 6 at home, 3 vs KC, day off, then 3 vs OAK. 4-2 should be the low end, I am hoping for 5-1 with Detroit going 2-5. That'd put us up by 5 games. I'd love that.
  10. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) Misleading title. I thought somebody was going to or had beat the s*** out of Juan Pierre and I'd pay to watch that. I thought it was going to be Carlos Silva vs. Juan Pierre. I would have love to seen that horrible matchup.
  11. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:37 PM) Damn, I just saw the highlights of the Tigers walk off homer win. A win like that really boosts team morale. If they lost this game there was a chance they would have gone into NY dejected and down but now they're the opposite. lame :/ After the Indians scored 3, I thought the Tigers were screwed. With a hard week coming up and losing a game that they pretty much had in the bottom of the 9th could have sunk their entire team.
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:27 PM) Great win, but the Chris Perez implosion still pisses me off. He won't have to worry about begging fans to come. Totally ruined what could have been a perfect day for the Sox.
  13. Sox averaged 30,000 this series. I think we should be able to get to 2 million this year in attendance.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:12 PM) Shouldn't Cleveland have been guarding the line with Jackson up there? They were I think. But that ball was hit right over the bag.
  15. Perez cannot let this game get to Cabrera.
  16. Tigers have second and third with two outs. Down by 2. Come on Chris Perez, not now.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:09 PM) Big win right there. This series was a nice gut check for us. We came out of it looking good.
  18. Chris Perez has put two guys on with two outs.
  19. Here we go again. It's never easy when Reed is in.
