Velasquez was legitimately good his last start. He got Ks and swings and misses. He's basically pitching to contact today. Nobody's getting fooled on the Red Sox, they're just not squaring up his pitches at all. Usually that's an indication of good location, but that's not been the case for VV today.

Newman called Garcia's jam shot pop up a drive. That's such a compliment for Leury.

One thing Reese is pretty good at: bunts.
