5/2-Angels vs Sox 1:10 Central Start, Series Finale
Tyler Wade is basically another Leury Garcia. The Angels basically got him for free while we paid our Leury $16 million over 3 years.

Adell bailed Graveman out.

Looks like he doesn't know where his pitches are going.

I wonder if the 1.5 weeks off just absolutely fucked with his timing. He was killing the ball the first 2 games.

The offense is showing some signs of life, but still can't hit situationally with guys in scoring position.

Good base running from TA. Terrible from Harrison.

Jo Addell might be one of the worst outfielders I've ever seen. Especially for a guy who's pretty fast.

He only threw 6 pitches too. He's still got another inning in him.

4/30- White Sox vs Angels, 3:05, CSN/FS1, ESPNR
Hendriks needs to stop tipping his pitches. Nobody is swinging at his breaking stuff. He threw 7 breaking pitches today and got 1 swing, no whiffs. You can throw 98 all you want, but if the hitter knows it's coming, it's a lot easier to hit. Every ball hit off Liam today was basically 100+ MPH in EV.

Hendriks against the middle of the order with a 4 run lead. This honestly doesn't feel that safe.

Wow we got bailed out on that call.

Velasquez averaged half a MPH faster on his fastball today. He mostly was at 92-94 before today and he was hitting 95 in the 5th inning. He got 9 of his 13 whiffs on the fastball. He could just be feeling good today, but it's encouraging after seeing him suck for the first 3 starts.

Come on rain, don't let the bullpen blow this 4 run lead.

The game is official at this point. There is no reason to give away outs.

I think this game is already official since the visiting team has made 15 outs and we're leading. I know in 2020, they continued non-official games, but I don't know if they changed it back since.

It counts. If they don't finish it, they'll just pick it up tomorrow.

Retooling / quasi-rebuild
We might be starring 7-14 in the face by Monday. I think you really need to think about a re-tool if they don't show some signs of life soon.

4/29- White Sox vs Angels, 6:10
They're hitting the ball hard and it's either dying at the track or right at people. You'd think the luck would turn around eventually, but who knows when that might be. I feel like the team has basically only played games in the Midwest in cold crappy weather. That said, it doesn't explain the terrible defense.

2021-22 NBA Thread
I'm not sure how they can even get a trade going that works out money-wise. They'd have to include Vuc, Coby, and Patrick Williams just to get to Gobert's salary figure. Then when you have all that money tied up in one guy, there's no way you can sign guys who can shoot the 3 to help when DeRozan gets triple teamed. A trade for a guy like Jakob Poetl makes a lot more sense than Gobert. He may not be the defensive player Gobert is, but he will help massively over Vucevic. If you can get him for Coby and a FRP, I think you take that all day. Poetl is a good passer like Vuc, he just doesn't shoot the ball at all past the FT line. With how Vuc shot the ball in the mid-range and 3 this year, you really might not be missing much if you replaced Vuc with Poetl. Then you can try to off-load Vuc's expiring contract to get some 3 & D wings to make teams respect the Bulls offense around the perimeter. They can also sign somebody like Young, Boucher, or Covington with the MLE.

Finding Bummer's sink
I don't think he knows where his stuff is going. Like the article said, he just tries to throw it down the middle and let his movement do the rest.

Finding Bummer's sink
I found this interesting. Could the new ball be messing with Bummer's sinker? I've read the new balls have bigger seams which is why we've heard it has more drag.

Cueto to Sox (Official)
Woah, I didn't know they had statcast for minor league games. Cool.

GAMETHREAD 4/28/22: KC Royals at ChiSox (Keller vs Kopech) 1:10 pm CDT
If Musk was an owner, he'd guarantee that the team would win a championship by the all star break.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Yeah it's hard, especially since I've been so plugged in the last 2 years.
