  1. Angel Hernandez is calling balls and strikes today. Which explains why this zone is so big.
  2. Alexander has been pretty good as a starter. I don't think he's really a bum, but he was the kind of pitcher the Sox destroyed last year.
  3. How was that ball fair?
  4. Grossman gets screwed on calls as much as Yoan
  5. Schoop absolutely owns Keuchel. He's hitting lasers.
  6. Sheets probably fucks up that play
  7. I don't think Kimbrel can just turn it on in the playoffs if he can't even get through regular season innings without looking bad. At this point the issue is both mental and mechanical. Even if you put him in high leverage 9th inning save situations, he hasn't shown the dominance he had with the Cubs early in the year. Kimbrel ended 2018 bad with the Red Sox and was extremely pedestrian in the playoffs for them. Had the Red Sox not given him multi run leads to protect he would have blown a few saves for them.
  8. Eww send down Wright instead.
  9. Certainly feels like it.
  10. TA is leading off today. Grandal catching. Yoan gets the day at DH. Engel in RF. The fact that this isn't the get away day lineup is encouraging.
  11. The awesomeo article was 4 months ago...how did the Score just get wind of this now? It's so sus.
  12. I saw that Hendriks brought up how the team coasted last year and that was one of the reasons we lost to the A's.
  13. When we inevitably clinch some time later this week, this team will literally have nothing to play for for the next 1.5 weeks. Houston is probably gonna be 4-5 games up on us soon. If you guys thought the play has been sloppy recently, wait until there's literally nothing to play for mathematically. I think I might just take a nice vacation from the team until October 7th.
  14. The Eloy trade was going too well for us.
  15. I mean honestly, besides Lynn, has Hahn made any good trades for veterans? We can give the FO credit for making good trades for prospects, but our trades for veterans almost never work out and we always overpay.
  16. What's 2 footnotes when the first 1 is Tatis? I imagine that's what Hahn thought when he made the trade.
  17. It's real risky to start him in the playoffs when he showed what he showed today.
  18. I mean he already traded away the best player in baseball for James Shields. Madrigal won't ever reach that kind of status.
  19. If we were smart we'd go Lopez for 2 and Keuchel for 3.
  20. Engel is back tomorrow. So you may see a lot less of him the last 2 weeks.
  21. Cleveland loses. Magic number is 2.
  22. Bad day beyond the loss on the field. We don't know if we'll have a good Rodon in October, Kimbrel sucked again so who knows when he'll ever get back to being good, and Hernandez basically cost us the game by playing horrendous defense. Hahn's deadline has been a massive failure. Nothing we've seen so far suggests that Kimbrel and Hernandez will contribute positively in October.
  23. Good lord we fucking sucked.
