Yeah he's been throwing the curve for strike 1 a lot. Once he gets you behind in the count, his change up works well as a put-away pitch.

Might be why he's missing on some pitches.

He can't hit lefties. Arizona wasn't platooning him IIRC. He also just needed a change of scenery. He played really well for Oakland last year while filling in for Chapman.
