2020 Election Thoughts
That made no sense to me. I'd like to see how the Cubans who were scared of Biden's socialism voted on the minimum wage prop.

2020 Election Thoughts
Yup. Even though it looks like Biden will win, this election was absolutely handed to the Dems on a silver platter. Impeachment, COVID, terrible unemployment. And they end up winning against the incumbent with a low 40% approval rating by how much? Less than 1% in Wisconsin? Maybe 2-3% in Michigan and PA? Lost by 4% in Florida? I mean by Florida standards that's not even competitive. It also looks like they won't get the majority in the senate either. Beating Trump makes it not a complete disaster, but this was pretty close to it.

Offseason Targets
That's gotta be awkward for him and the Mets. He basically robbed them out of a year of service and he ends up back with them.

2020 Election Thoughts
Trump is only 3 years younger and got COVID a few weeks ago. I get that Biden would be the oldest president, but it's not like the alternative (Trump) is a 45 year old in great shape without any existing medical conditions.

Jose Abreu is a finalist for AL MVP
It would have been more of a lock if Ricky didn't give Jose Ramirez two huge go-ahead hits.

Jose Abreu is a finalist for AL MVP
Ramirez and LeMahieu are the other 2 finalists. No Bieber. No Trout.

2020 Election Thoughts
He's a douche and he's incompetent. The pandemic isn't his fault, but he's completely mishandled the response. He's consistently misled the public on how serious it is and contradicted his own medical experts and CDC. The funny thing is that if he told the truth and let the medical experts do their jobs, he wouldn't have to lie about what a great job he did on the pandemic. And he might have a much better chance at reelection.

2020 Election Thoughts
Biden being a centrist is why he won the primary. Yet here we are, with Trump saying Biden will install socialism. It's like he's running against Bernie Sanders.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
A well coached team doesn't meltdown like that. You can complain about lack of execution all you want, but the Bears screwed themselves with penalties on offense that were entirely preventable. The Wims thing is also just inexcusable.

Offseason Targets
Gausman probably takes that $19 million and runs with it. I'm not sure he'll get more than 30-40 million in a 3 year deal.

I like how he did not name Ron Gant.
-
Tony La Russa named Manager
He basically said the events of 2020 have changed his views on kneeling during the anthem and that he'd be okay with it. Then he went even farther and said he's not racist cause he's managed black players in the past.

Tony La Russa named Manager
Tony really had to name all the black players he's managed to prove he's not racist...he went there.

KW and JR overruled Hahn.

Tony La Russa named Manager
Hahn didn't lie to us in that presser, Jerry just took over the reigns on this right after.

Yup, I'm following it on there now.

I don't live in Chicago so I can't watch it that way.

Tony La Russa named Manager
Anyone know where to stream it?

Tony La Russa named Manager
Or that he spent all the money signing a hall of fame manager.
-
Tony La Russa named Manager
My only hope now is Jerry actually spends money this off-season. However, say goodbye to signing anyone like Bauer or Stroman. Those guys aren't going to play for a manager who will actively try to suppress their ability to express themselves.
