  1. Beckham, 2B Ramirez, SS Quentin, LF Thome, DH Fields, 3B Broussard, 1B Kroeger, RF Anderson, B, CF Miller, C Floyd starts. Free Webcast
  2. MacDougal! Spring training is much more fun when he's in. Restovich in for Wise already?
  3. Hahahahaha. Gameday is behind, so I thought the caught stealing was just a general statement. Then gameday updates and Goin' Owens gets thrown out again. Oh boy. Maybe he should try 'roids to get some pop.
  4. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Mar 7, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) clayton isn't impressing me all that much Since I say it all the time, I might as well say it now. Clayton getting hit hard. And Dayan trying to steal? Was he even close?
  5. QUOTE (BFirebird @ Mar 6, 2009 -> 03:55 PM) That is a pretty weak FA class no matter what kind of player you need. Don't worry. There's always LeBron, Wade, Amare, and Bosh.
  6. And a hard hit triple. Which I meant with getting hit hard. I'll change it to "Link got hit hard".
  7. QUOTE (tommy @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 06:46 PM) From Cowley: "Beckham gets the start at second base Friday against Team Australia, and will get time at third base. They want to get him more ABs." I'm really excited for some Beckham. I have no idea why, really, but I'm always 100% concentrated when he's at the plate, similar to how I was with Quentin last year. Maybe it's the hype or the nickname or I don't know, but I'm ready for him as soon as possible. And I think the fact that Guillen's putting him at 3rd is a sign that they're ready/excited for him as well. And yeah yeah, I know he needs to go to the minors and work on his d and get experience, but I don't know. I'm just hoping to see him as soon as possible.
  8. From what I've seen, Corky has been the most "impressive" in camp. But seriously, does it matter that much? This is a back-up catcher. Whoever can do the job without screwing up gets my vote.
  9. Off topic, but I was a 20 year old Freshman. I spent senior year on exchange and had to go back for a credit in the fall. I was a proud super senior. So yeah... I don't think it's that weird. Unless he just failed lots of classes. That's probably not a postive.
  10. I'm switching between both as well. Viciedo just gets the runner.
  11. And that gets rid of whatever remaining doubt that he would not be on the roster.
  12. Are we allowed to say that run would've scored if it had been Jerry Owens? Or will we just all silently think that in our heads? Wow, nice play.
  13. I couldn't make my sadface green. And I thought that's what I heard (Reed Johnson). I thought, "Hm, they must not have one of those press passes".
  14. Nice. Thanks for the link. I didn't see Viciedo's play, but it sounds like it was above-average?
  15. So where's Ozzie? I'm assuming in Las Vegas.
