The Tiger Woods Marriage Saga Thread

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 8, 2009 -> 01:07 PM) This has gone from a slight dent in his reputation to a major accident. Is he going to recover from this? Can his sponsors really afford to stand by him (even though most say they will)? Does this ruin his legacy? Or is it forgotten in 2 years if he keeps winning? I'm not normally one to judge celebrities or professional athletes for their private lives, but I think Tiger is a little different. He's one of, if not the most, famous professional sports figure in the world, and he didn't just cheat, but he cheated with a bunch of skanky, gossip/tabloid style women, while his wife was at home with their two young kids. I dunno. I vote he screwed up his legacy big time with all this. I don't think this will hurt him in the long run,we have a short attention span and no one will care in a couple of years...golfers have very long careers and do you really think 20 years from now these incidents are gonna keep haunting him professionally? -

Redskins giving the Saints all they can handle. -
I was all excited to watch on HBO the 25th anniversary rock and roll HOF concert but I found that except for a few moments of the show,it was by and large boring as hell. Mick Jagger has completly lost his voice,he was awful...

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 1, 2009 -> 02:25 PM) Allegedly. 'Years' is the key word here. Show me a hott chick and somewhere nearby is a guy who is tired of banging her. Just because you drive a Porsche doesn't mean you'd turn down a free ride in a banged up Impala. Should I go on with the tired cliches? See Steve Phillips,Hugh Grant etc... -
I hope Knight posts my list because I can't remember the order cept for the Beatles at number 1 and AC/DC at 2,all the rest of the bands can go at any order depending on my mood... Times like these I regret smoking weed cuz I have a really s***ty memory but the bands I had in my list as far as I can remember were Pink Floyd,Red Hot Chili Peppers,Iron Maiden,Soundgarden,Alice In Chains,Radiohead,Megadeth,Black Sabbath,The Who,Pearl Jam,Metallica,Led Zeppelin,System Of A Down,U2,Tool,Rage Against the Machine,Smashing Pumpkins... Bands that just missed the cut for me were Van Halen,Anthrax,Judas Priest,The Doors,Rolling Stones,Guns N' Roses,Pixies and Bjork.

QUOTE (Cali @ Nov 30, 2009 -> 07:34 PM) This is gonna be a completely unpopular position, but I'll say it anyway. I understand what those top 4 bands did for music and that they inspired bands I listen to now etc. But I could really give a s***. I can't connect with a band that had their height in popularity and influence decades before i was born. I think it's a little weird to be 25 and the Beatles are your favorite band ever. My mom lived through Beatlemania, I could never like or appreciate that band as much as she did. I was in my teens in the late 80s/early 90s,long after the Beatles heyday yet they are my favorite band. You would think Pink Floyd,The Who,Led Zep,Beatles, etc. would be huge today considering that today's rock is the crappiest it's been since rock and roll music started.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 29, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) I voted the Who as my #1, so I think that would make them basically automatically on the list (especially if at least one or two other people even had them somewhere on theirs). So, I wouldn't worry about it. I had The Who on my list, they are a lock I bet.

f*** it,I'll say it...Cutler sucks,in the red zone at least. -
I just don't think anyone can beat Pacman at this point of his career,he is just overwhelming every fighter he faces...the man is just a relentless beast.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 11:29 PM) Typical Chicago media. Telander leads the tard charge. That's a dead link,I get nothing. Dan Jiggets actually said that he wouldnt make the Orton/Cutler trade if given the choice today, they are killing Cutler on Bears Post Game Live. I still believe in Cutler, though he is fustrating the hell outta me. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 11:05 PM) Look at his stats, he hasn't been that inaccurate outside of today. There's a bunch of reasons why he has 18 INTs... not all of them have to do with him. Today he looked rattled because he had to keep backing up to get away from blitzers, and you could tell he was trying to be conservative because he was worried about the week before and all those INTs. Mentally he's just all over the place right now. Also, Ron Turner kind of sets him up to fail (awaiting inevitable "you are a Cutler apologist" reply) I totally agree that Turner is possibly the most predictable OC in the NFL,guy has no imagination at all,he doesn't know how to use Hester properly, always runs up the middle of either 1st and very long or 3rd and short, wouldn't know what to do if you took away the short reciever screen, dude just sucks... Cutler just flat out missed wide open opportunities and makes bad decisions in the red zone, albeit Turner's playcalling is horrid. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 11:40 PM) Did anyone else see that defender pull Hester's pants down and show his entire ass on the replay? I wish I hadn't seen it... I hate to say it because I so want Cutler to succeed but man,he kinda sucks.Misses some easy ass passes,I thought he was supposed to be accurate? -
