QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Nov 9, 2014 -> 08:03 PM) Rodgers threw back across his body on that td. Every commentator will say it's forbidden when the result is an interception. When the result is a td, nothing but praise for the throw. That applies to most QBs, Rodgers is on a whole 'nother level -

Oh well, almost time for part II of our yearly beatdown at the hands of the Packers -
QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Nov 8, 2014 -> 08:44 AM) Says the person who's already knocking the Cavs out of ECF. Guys, no one is betting against the Bulls here. I am saying the Bulls just have ways to go. Perhaps I haven't explained why I don't believe the Cavs are legit contenders this season, let me explain why. I have never said the Cavs aren't a deeply talented team, there's no doubt that they are. I don't they're ready to contend THIS year is because aside from LeBron and a few of the older role players, the Cavs main stars have zero playoffs experience, including their HC. You don't instantly become a playoffs hardened team in year 1. I might've exaggerated by saying the Cavs won't make the CFs, it's the East after all. They definitely wouldn't make it in the West, that's for sure. They have the pieces to be a championship team, it just won't happen instantly like some of you guys apparently think.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 11:12 AM) You're really going to toot your own horn after 4 games? Ok. I'll be the first one to give you props if they don't make it to the ECF's. But once again, no chance that happens. Not just because of four games but because of how they're playing, they'll eventually learn to play as a unit but I just don't see it happening in one season. Like I posted before, this learning to play as a unit and become a playoffs hardened veteran team doesn't happen in one season.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 12:43 AM) The Cavs are a few favorable calls away from being 0-4. I knew they would have issues, but I had no idea they'd be this bad. I hate to toot my own horn and I know it's still very early in the season but I'm on record here as saying I don't believe the Cavs will be a contender this year, heck I'll be shocked if they make it to the ECFs. Just because they added LeBron and KLove, in my opinion, didn't make them the East's favorite. I still believe KLove is overrated (go ahead and sue me) and so is Irving. They'll improve later on this season but they can't touch the Bulls, IMO (health considering, I'm looking at you Rose). LeBron to Miami was a whole different situation, there he joined a top 5 elite former FMVP and a proven PF, all being overseen by one of the NBA's greatest minds, the godfather Pat Riley. OTOH, Cleveland has an unproven NBA coach and Cleveland is still Cleveland. The Cavs are not contenders THIS year. BTW, let me be the first to give props to the FO, I know it's the cool thing to rag on them but they've quickly built a deep team that has legit shooters, defense, post offense, rim protection, rebounding and top tier talent. Health is really the only issue with this team but that's something they really can't control. I especially want to give props acter the whole Carmelo episode, I was one of the few Bulls fans who didn't believe Melo was serious about coming here and frankly, I didn't want him, I hate his ISO game to be honest. Let him stay a loser in NY but keep getting them checks, to quote the wise Jalen Rose...

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 1, 2014 -> 02:18 PM) Rose has missed 2 and a half out of the last 3 seasons. Until proven otherwyise it looks like he is just one of those guys who can't stay healthy. ....................

Just watched last night's Cavs/Bulls game, this is gonna be a fun series to watch going foward. A few thoughts, I don't really read too much into last night's loss, the Cavs came out way more stronger than the Bulls, evidenced by the large rebounding disparity in the first half. I kinda knew that was gonna happen, they were thoroughly embarrassed on national TV by the terrible Knicks so they came out with a chip on their shoulder. Is it just me or does LeBron look a half step slower? I lol'd when Irving asked Miller if that was a playoff atmosphere and he said it was two notches below. I know Rose suffered a mild sprain but can he ever finish a big game? I know injuries happen but it's just so frustrating as a fan.

Lol @ Knicks JR can't play within an offensive system but he can create his own shot

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) No chance the Cavs don't make the ECF. Bookmarked

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 09:13 PM) Tell me who in the East outside the Bulls is going to be able to take that team out in round 2? More coehisive veteran units, Miami for example

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 09:00 PM) The Cavs aren't looking very good... This is a Knicks team playing in a back to back and they just got blown out by the Bulls. I think they're going to look like a mess for a while but thy should get their act together later on in the season. I've said this before, Cleveland won't make the Finals, it's the Bulls to lose. Too much youth and inexperience, a new coach with zero NBA experience, too many defensive liabilities. They'll be a real force down the road, just not this year, I'd be shocked if they get to the ECFs in fact.

Westbrook is good but Durant is the best player in the league, after LeBron of course.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 12:10 AM) Tough loss for the Royals. They had no chance against Baumgarner. Couldn't lay off his high stuff like Frank Thomas said in the postgame. Frank is really intelligent IMO. Would be excellent analyst/manager/hitting coach/whatever. When that ball skipped by the center fielder, I thought Gordon would scoot all the way around the bases. That was KC's only chance. Had Gordon somehow scored, KC would have won the World Series. Now they start all over next April. Right now they are light years ahead of the White Sox. I pity myself and our fanbase cause Detroit and KC figure to remain way better than our Sox, who also have no easy time beating Cleveland and/or Minnie. We better hope KC misses Shields and fails to get a good slugger to replace Butler. Without some more hitting, KC's lineup will remain abysmal. They need Colon to enter the lineup somewhere and be a star. He does look good. Once again, the last laugh is on the AL. The AL gets homefield and still can't win the WS. The Royals looked like s*** the three games in the NL park. This AL supremacy talk grows old when we do not dominate the WS at all. What the hell, the Red Sox won the WS last year.

Congrats SF and to MadBum for the MVP
-
Madison is a big time pitcher, can't see the Royals doing any damage in the 9th.
-
Bumgarner is just on another level right now.
