  1. I hope Vizquel, Pierre and Kotsay are the first victims of the purge. Followed by Jenksy and A.J. We need to move this team in a younger direction, no use playing for nothing in the second half without injecting some youth into the club.
  2. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) Pods gets hurt too much. Enough. We f***ing get it.
  3. Pierre will likely continue to lead-off for this team until KW mans up and DFA's him.
  4. We need to be ready to take pitches tonight. Teahen should be hitting higher in the order.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 03:11 PM) There is a 0.0% chance that any team would have to or will give up a young Ace for Fielder. Maybe thats what they want, but they wont get it. Someone like Buehrle or Hudson + is alot closer to what they would get. Buehrle + Jenks is probably the ideal package in terms of need for the Brewers. I just think that the ages and contracts of both players might turn the Brewers off.
  6. Robert Hudson is hitting really well for AAA. I don't see it lasting, and we still need to draft middle-infield depth, but it's good to see him hitting well.
  7. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) Jordan Danks and an automatic. http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video...v=1334861985342 He seems to have a lot more personality than his brother. I have seen some videos of him on Youtube, and he seems to be a very personable and outgoing guy. He and John have the sense of humor. Jordan has a touch more charisma and is a little more outgoing, but they clearly come from the same mold. I have fond memories of spring of Danks 2 doing everything possible to get in the way of Beckham and Morel while they attempted to warmup. He's a great guy.
  8. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 12:33 PM) I dont understand why so many of you are against it Because it's a stupid, juvenile marketing effort that no one outside of Chicago homers will give a damn about? You think the players get amped up fighting for a worthless statue invented circa 2010? That's some great tradition.
  9. Dayan stole a base. The Cuban Jack-Of-All-Trades.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) Hey I copyrighted that lineup. I came up with something similiar, i just like your one better. Let's share the love.
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 10:30 PM) who leads off then? Rios Teahen Jones Konerko Q Beckham Ramirez A.J. Pierre.
  12. Mark Teahen is a solid, everyday major league baseball player. Don't let anyone tell you different.
  13. Nice ab from Lucy. Shame he couldn't deliver.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) Pierre has been a waste so far this year. At least he isn't getting the most ab's of anyone on the team. Wait...
  15. Groundout to second. How unexpected.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 09:12 PM) When Beckham starts hitting, he should lead off and Pierre can bat second and bunt all the time. Or we could implement a lineup that won't lose a lot of ballgames.
  17. What is this strange sight? Oh, Q just got a hit.
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 09:09 PM) There's the guy that should be leading off for us. f*** Pierre. Your lineup is a bit too logical for Ozzie.
  19. Swish in Lf. Move Q to DH. Pierre to bench.
  20. Lucy is looking like a guy who can stick around as a backup once the Tyler Flowers era begins.
  21. You have good thoughts, but can we keep these exercises a little more concise, Caufield? I feel like I have to take notes and do homework.
  22. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 26, 2010 -> 08:37 PM) which basically has nothing to do with what I posted Other then addressing that Ozzie doesn’t really like homers, has actively told players to stop trying to hit homeruns (Rios, Nix, and to show that one of the main tenets of Ozzieball is to shy away from hitting for power, which is what this thread is discussing … Yeah, you’re right. Nothing to do with it at all.
  23. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 26, 2010 -> 05:44 PM) ozzie never said he didn't want guys who hit homeruns, he doesn't want to rely on it solely. He's frequently said he wants guys who can avg. 20-25 throughout the lineup instead of one or two with 40-50. "I'd rather have Rios steal 50 bases than hit 50 home runs-" Ozzie Guillen.
