  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:49 PM) What are the odds this is the year that Jermaine remembers he used to be a walking injury waiting to happen? Ironically, the minute KW decides not to trade him
  2. I don't think a Dye deal would be straight up, but i think it'll be for a mid-level prospect not a Dickerson-type so a spot on the 40 might not be a problem.
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:39 PM) I personally think Dunn would be a horrible fit to put in a lineup with Thome and Konerko. He brings nothing new to the table, whereas Abreu can still run and hit for a much much higher average. Power, OBP.... enthusiasm?
  4. I'm still confused as to why the Cubs had no room for Veal on their 40. The kid can pitch, and Rothschilds no dummy. Donnie Veal has a future in baseball.
  5. A Good player? Duquette, have you seen Valido since 2003?
  6. QUOTE (sayitaintso @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:25 PM) Valido was taken Fixed, guess Valido was on my mind.
  7. QUOTE (sayitaintso @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:24 PM) That makes 3 players from Birmingham that have been taken so far. More room for Beckham, Viciedo and Danks
  8. Hah "White Sox, 24" "We have 25" Awkward Silence "That's Fine."
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:10 PM) Not 40 man, 25 man roster spots. These players have to stay with the major league team all year long. You're right, my bad.
  10. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:07 PM) Funny all these other teams seem to be finding interesting players.... They all have 40 spots they're willing to give. KW is not.
  11. Wow, Brewers get Morlan. He fell rather far.
  12. QUOTE (sayitaintso @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 12:03 PM) D-Backs took skelton (sp?) from the tigers. He's a good player, but do they need any more catchers?
  13. Good choice for the Pirates. I think Veal could find a home there.
  14. Streaming live on MLB.com if anyone's interested.
  15. Pulling an all-nighter here, wish me luck.
  16. I can't ever remember a trade of this size (12 players), but i'm really interested in how the Mariner's roster is shaping up. THis New GM appears to know what's he doing.
  17. I wonder what Shapiro was thinking going into this? No clear loss for him, but no real upgrade. Maybe he just stumbled into the room when Minaya and Z were negotiating and they felt obligated to include him? I’m guessing he was just a surrogate to get one piece moved for another.
  18. Reds are talking to Baldelli and Riviera. Dye trade still in stasis. http://hotstove.mlblogs.com/archives/2008/..._agent_out.html. Come on, Kenny. Get moving...
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 10:17 PM) Sarcasm or not, I'm not really sure Bedard has a need for a cutter. Sarcasm, let's just make sure he's healthy before bringing him in.
  20. QUOTE (Jimmywins1 @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) They're just clearing room for David Price. Good Call. I think you're right.
  21. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) David Cook has "suck" written all over him and John Shelby has yet to play above high A. Neither works. Can we ask him if he thinks he's Jackson worthy in his future sox interview?
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 10:02 PM) Except Joyce isn't exactly highly touted nor has he ever shown anything too special at the minor league level. No doubt, but Shelby has about a year left of development before he becomes a legitmate piece. Joyce has proven what he needs to of proved down their. And all he really is for the Rays is a replacement for Gabe Gross.
