  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) He loves to take pitches down the plate for called 3rd while chasing pitches way off the plate. Sounds about right to me.
  2. It's almost like when Flowers has two strikes on him, the chance of a strikeout is 105%.
  3. Remember when Flowers was on pace for 162 HRs? Those were the days...
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 08:26 PM) Leave some more on base this is maddening. 10 as a team through 6 innings, but 19 if counted individually. That's pretty f***ing bad.
  5. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 08:15 PM) My prediction is two guys reach base, one gets flies out, and Dunn ends the inning with a called 3rd strike. Nice reverse jinx!
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 08:18 PM) The problem with the Sox bullpen is that they need two guys that can give multiple innings, and they really don't have that. Now if they bring up Omogrosso, he can probably be that 2-inning guy, and maybe Veal goes back to Charlotte if they replace Beckham's spot. Unless Veal has options, he ain't making it to Charlotte. Someone would take a chance on him.
  7. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 08:15 PM) Haha, Hector with a better swing than Flowers Peavy had better swings too on Wednesday.
  8. My prediction is two guys reach base, one gets flies out, and Dunn ends the inning with a called 3rd strike.
  9. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 08:11 PM) f*** it! Have Hector bat! Your wish came true!
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:55 PM) Needed innings from Dylan, not mad at Robin. Taking out your starter in the fourth inning is tough business. Shame on Dylan for throwing over the middle of the plate so much. Hope this is the last we see of him this year. We need innings but not at the expense of losing the game. We have a free roster spot and can have a multi-inning reliever as soon as tomorrow. Also, we're talking about one additional out at the most, since there was no way in hell Axelrod was coming out for the 5th. Made sense to get Santiago in there against Harper & LeRoche the next inning.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:51 PM) He made no attempt to get in front of it and keep it there. None. I'll agree he should have made a better effort, but it was still a wild pitch going towards the feet of the batter.
  12. f*** you Robin. The f*** were you thinking leaving this piece of s*** in there against the heart of their order.
  13. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:47 PM) defensive excellence behind the plate Hard to blame that on Flowers, it looked like it was going to hit Harper in the foot.
  14. Honestly, replacing Beckham with Gillespie in the bottom third of the lineup might work out for us. Adding some solid contact between Viciedo & Flowers can only be a good thing.
  15. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:24 PM) I dont know what the hell that was. But Ill take it. It had double play written all over it and yet it somehow worked out. Hopefully a good omen of things to come.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:24 PM) Smoke and mirrors even when he hits Awesome post.
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:23 PM) Oh god, he's in the on deck circle! Thank god we let him bat!
  18. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:22 PM) Who pinch hits for Axelrod? Oh god, he's in the on deck circle!
  19. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:18 PM) Well they no idea how to use him out of the pen and haven't since last year. So I don't know what either are thinking. Not agreeing with them, just what I've inferred from interviews and articles about Hector. The real question is if they don't go with Santiago next time the 5 spot comes up then who do they call up? Rienzo?
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 06:56 PM) Hawkins 10 k's in 4+ games. Call him up, he'll fit right in with the rest of the team! Honestly though, A+ was an aggressive assignment. Not surprised to see some contact issues out the gate.
  21. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:13 PM) This is all on Robin. Dylan Axelrod is NOT a Major League pitcher. Hector Santiago should have been the #5 starter since the beginning. His ignorance and stubbornness is going to cost the team another win. I think it's more Cooper than Robin. I think Cooper loves having Santiago's versatility in the bullpen.
  22. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 11, 2013 -> 07:08 PM) I don't know if anything will work, but that would be a good start. This team looks pretty brutal so far. We definitely need Viciedo & Flowers to hit better for starters. If that doesn't happen, we can write this season goodbye. Still way too early to give up on either of them.
