I feel like the lack of rumors of other teams offers, the willingness to the Sox to get Jon Jay, looking at acquiring Pederson, the lack of the front office trying to downplay their involvement in him (not even a downplay / throwing cold water on rumors from the local reporters for that matter) and the talking about Machado almost as if he is a member of the team are all indicators the Sox feel very confident they land him.

That’d be my guess, no real pressing need for him if they don’t land Manny. So this could take awhile although are the dodgers going to wait out the Machado signing before they sign pollack?

Interesting to see there hasn’t been anymore rumors with this and things have kinda gone quiet with us moving into Thursday now. Was hoping we would have landed him via trade by now.

I think people are just pointing out that if you are Tim Anderson, you should take the high road on this one and let the dust settle where it may be, he isn’t exactly in a position to call the shots. I do think that Manny plays 3rd for us and Timmy at SS especially if they land Pederson, otherwise he doesn’t exactly have a spot on the roster with Pederson in CF unless he learns how to play RF.
