Why do I think of this when I hear or see a tweet from Bruce Levine.....

I can only imagine how myself and I’m assuming most of the rest of this board would react if Machado/Harper sign first and the team isn’t the Chicago Whitesox.....talk about a shit storm.....

I wish I could feel this way, my brain has turned to mush thinking about what’s going on when it will be over etc. The 16 year old kid screams both is possible but the 31 year old adult says no chance it happens....so it depends on which one you ask.

Bruce only knows what people are feeding him, he is being used as puppet in this chase. I imagine today is going to be a pretty slow news day in regards to hearing anything on Machado after yesterday’s debacle.

Yes, I think this is exactly why Sox fans are hitting the panic button everyday with this 7/175 talk and it won’t look good for JR or any of the front office if a team now comes in and sweeps him out from under us. Pitch fork grabbers will be out and about regardless of the ending calling JR cheap etc. I get the Sox don’t want to bid against themselves but at the same time I’d be asking manny what is it going to take to get this over and sign him today, if they feel it’s reasonable just give him what he wants and be done with it.

So if this was a Sox leak to Nightengale and Levine and somehow after all this Manny still signs with us, you have to give the signing leak to one of those two whipping boys, correct?

It has been relatively quiet on all fronts today in regards to Machado. Discounting the totally unbelievable reports from Bob, so that could be a plus.

We could be in final offer stages and that could be why, like it’s been said previously if both offers are just about the same, Machado comes to us in my opinion with the Phillies turning towards Harper.
