  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 07:33 PM) WCIU needs to fire their sound man Kinda nice not to have to hear hawk go on and on for a change
  2. bernstein gets old very quickly, he thinks everyone is an idiot and if you do not agree with his theory then your a dumba** I enjoy listening to the WB Club on Saturday Mornings with Grote and Rosenbloom. They are pretty entertaining! I don't care for much on ESPN 1000 although Waddle and Silvy can be bearable at times.
  3. With first base open don't you walk fielder here?
  4. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) Oh HELL no. Do NOT let that option vest. I Disagree...reed has been too shaky, these games mean too much.
  5. Just tuned in...how has liriano looked so far tonight?
  6. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) Phil Humber against the Rangers lineup. Cant wait to see that one. Bullpen better be ready to go in the 3rd....
  7. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) Not as nervous as I would be if Myers wasn't here. He was a huge pickup, idc what he does off the field as long as he helps us win games
  8. Anyone else getting nervous about reeds outings as of late? Ugh...
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 03:06 PM) This Greinke s*** is all a KW smokescreen. He's going to land a player like Garza or Shields who will be under team control for 2-3 years - not some 10 start rental he has to bid for that has already stated he hates pitching in the Cell and has a history of being a nutcase. i agree with this, garza seems like a KW type of move, get him "injured" cheaper than he would have before hand and hope he comes back in a week or so fully healthy
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) He is under team control for another year, so it would be pretty close to impossible to get him through the lower teams on waivers... On the other hand, they might be scared off by the injury risk or not have the money to pay Garza next year. Interesting situation for many teams like the A's, Rays, Orioles, Indians, etc. I was talking about taking a chance on him before the trade deadline ends i think if he is dealt it will be before the tuesday not during waiver period...if it is just fluid build up and the MRI was good to go, would KW trade for him now hoping this issue goes away in a week or two now knowing that he can get him possibly cheaper
  11. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:27 AM) @davandyck: Matt Garza MRI shows fluid, not expected to pitch until after trade deadline” Looks like Matt Garza is off the trading block for now. Dammit I wanted the Braves to get him so they would be out of the Greinke sweepstakes. Does KW try and get him for cheap? Seems like a KW type of move to me.
  12. and there is another walk for Dunn
  13. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 02:09 PM) And the best place for an all or nothing bat like this is the 3 hole? im not arguing where he should be placed in the lineup, if it was up to me the 3-5 would be Rios, Konerko, Dunn....all i am saying is he is this season Dunn doing what you paid him to do
  14. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) So theoretically a .165BA, 40 HR, 100 RBI would suffice for you. If his walk total is up then yes, this means he is making up for his low AVG by getting on base via the walk. You signed the guy for the 40 HR and 100 RBI not to hit .300
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 02:03 PM) I agree, he's not going to hit for a big average. We need him to get on base when he's not driving in runs. At the pace he's been on since June, he'll be hitting under .200 pretty soon. I know he needs to get on base....but for his lack of batting AVG he is making it up in his walk total. His last season in washington he drew 77 Walks all season long. This season he already has 74 walks, so he is making up for his average by walking so much.
  16. QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 01:56 PM) Hitting for avg is one thing, hitting 200 is another. at the end of the day does it really matter if he hits .200 if he finishes the season with 40+ HRs and 100+ RBIs? All I am saying is if he is getting his walks (continuing to get on base) hrs and rbi's that makes up for his low batting average. We all knew his batting avg wasn't great when he signed here. That is simply something you have to live with and move on
  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 01:51 PM) I'd like to see him hit over .200 with the White Sox. That's something I'd like from a big time FA who's hitting 3rd in the lineup. once again you didn't pay the guy to hit for average. Everyone knows when adam dunn comes to the plate he is going to do 1 of 3 things....walk, HR or K. He has never been a person to hit for average but as long as he is hitting HRs, driving people in, and getting on base I can take a low batting average. That has never been his thing, no reason we should assume he is going to do that here.
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 01:43 PM) One of the worst FA signings in Sox history, IMO. I don't get all the hatred for Adam Dunn and his deal. You paid the guy to come in, hit home runs drive in RBIs and get a walk. You never should have had the expectation that he was going to hit for AVG or anything like that. Yes, he sucked last season but the guy is a league leader in Home Runs and walks this season. What more do you want from the guy?
  19. Humber.... I said it his last start, he should not have been given his spot back in the rotation. He has pitched like garbage since last ASB and wasnt that great in his rehab starts
  20. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 06:37 PM) His body language sucks too. Maybe he can settle down as Axe did yesterday. The guy hasnt been the same since the all star break last year....outside of that perfect game. I think this experiment has worn out it's welcome
  21. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 06:35 PM) I'll wait til past the first inning off of the DL for Phil to pass judgment. To be fair it didnt sound like he was that good in his rehab starts either...so yeaa
  22. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 06:34 PM) Sox hate to have a early lead. We are going to need to score a lot of runs if we want a chance in this one....I've got no faith in humber
  23. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 06:31 PM) well, Phil looks like s*** With the amount of injuries we have we need to make a trade for a half way servicable starter, Phil isn't gonna cut it
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 06:28 PM) Anyone else's TV sound acting all weird? Like it keeps skipping? It is doing that on mine...driving me insane!!
  25. Let's get a solo shot and finish this game off!
