Not blaming him, but when you have the most expensive bullpen in the league you shouldn’t be going to an AAA pitcher to basically shove down a major league lineup like that. Regardless of the bunt, the chances he escapes without giving up a hit under that kind of pressure is slim at best. Not his fault but he didn’t make the club for a reason and isn’t really here for the long term. Try to put the guy in a position to succeed at least

You could say the same for about 3/4 of the line up. If he is a double machine and can drive in runs like he did in the first inning I’m okay with it.

Trying to look at this with a glass half full perspective. Maybe Sosa will break out at the big league level now and create a problem we haven’t had on this team in at least since I can remember to where we have a good problem with the roster when Tim does come back and have to decide who is going to go on this team because Lenyn has forced his way onto the club. Wishful thinking, but he’s definitely got the talent to be able to push Romy or Sheets off the roster
