QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) Not me, I dont mind small crowds. Being a sox fan was never about popularity of the field or the team to me. There is a team on the northside for people who care about crowds. ^^^ But I can't say I mind the large crowds that are totally juiced for big games.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 04:20 PM) Vernon Davis has shot up most everyone's draft board, as of right now he'd go before Lewis. Sadly, that is true. I Davis

Robeto Garza signs 6 year contract extension
Awesome. He has done a good job plugging different spots when guys have gone down this year. Also it's nice since Ruben Brown isn't exactly youthful.

Bears vs. Vikings Game Thread
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 1, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) Who cares. We are going to the playoffs. Maybe the players that have talked about being #1 all year? I know it's not a huge deal it's just a stupid way to lose it. Anyway... Jeff Blake is a f***in' badass

Bears vs. Vikings Game Thread
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jan 1, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) It's just in yards, as long as remain the best scoring defense, that is the key point. Yards is what is generally used when talking about defense. When you say #1 defense it means yards. Yes I know points are more important, and I always say that. It just sucks losing the yards title because of backups.

f***ing blah Tampa basically has #1 defense in the bag

Bears vs. Vikings Game Thread
f***in damn it would suck to lose the #1 DEF title to Tampa because we are playing backups.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 1, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) Right, exactly. Bron is going to put up ridiculous numbers but he's never going to be the clutch player MJ was and he's never going to be the defender that Jordan was, it's just not going to happen. Most important part.

Nice 1st half for the Bulls. Up 49-45. They need to keep up the intensity in the 2nd half and get a nice win.

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) according to internet reports, this kid just joined eric gordon and bill cole in illinois's 2007 class. mike tisdale tisdale is 6-11/7-0 and 195 pounds. very small. but he's also 16 years old and has a nice set of skills. the kid's a sure shot to redshirt, so we probably won't see him for another three years. Gordon, Cole, Tisdale, Rose?

The Count possibly to the Astros?
QUOTE(JimH @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) You are missing the overall point, but that's ok. Just like it's doesn't take a stat geek to see Pierre as a poor defender, which is after all what this all stemmed from.

The Count possibly to the Astros?
QUOTE(JimH @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Nope, he's got his opinions and he is standing up to all the stat geeks. It doesn't take a stat geek to realize Pierre has a noodle arm.

The Count possibly to the Astros?
QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) Way to cherry-pick stats. Apparently you've never heard of on-base percentage. Or stolen bases, for that matter. How badly did the Sox slip in August when Pods was injured? How much better were they offensively when he was healthy? Rowand's OBP in 05 > Pierre's OBP in 05
