QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 02:53 PM) Here's to hoping we win 18-0 and only throw a perfecto. This would be an acceptable outcome.

I'm considering hiring a hitman to just break Juan Pierre's leg.

Your favorite defensive play since 2000
I always thought the Wise catch was a little overrated, I gotta go with the Buehrle scoop. Ridiculous.

Against all odds, it finally happened...
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 09:21 AM) We all laugh at him, but he is the one in the major leagues making like 10 times what most of us make, just to play a game. I think he gets the last laugh. AND Ozzie takes him out for pizza after games..

White Sox (Floyd) v. Yankees (Nova) 6:05pm
QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) small sample sizes are fun. Really though, for once I want to see this team go over slot on ANY kind of f***ing talent. But I know it's a pipe dream, what with the Selig/Reinsdorf relationship. Bud Selig is bad for baseball. Have you met Chris Sale?

White Sox (Floyd) v. Yankees (Nova) 6:05pm
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 05:13 PM) Dude, you're jumping on a rookie because he's not starting out of the gate hitting .300 and driving in clutch runs. Secondly, you think Teahen's better. I respectfully disagree. Strongly. Gotta agree. I'd rather give Morel a full season to prove that he is worthless considering that Teahen already got that chance.

White Sox (Floyd) v. Yankees (Nova) 6:05pm
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 04:33 PM) The fastest pitch I've seen live at bat was mid eighties, and it was backed up with a change that almost screwed me into the ground The change, IMO, is the biggest dickhead pitch in baseball and the reason I am a s***ty batter. I don't understand how these guys hit them -__-. Latos threw me 93, 96, 98 right down the middle and I foul tipped one of them. Yay.

White Sox (Floyd) v. Yankees (Nova) 6:05pm
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 04:24 PM) It would take just one show me fastball and 2 sliders to have me walking back to the dugout. Oh I'm sure Nova could just pump 3 fastballs down the plate to just about everyone here and K the s*** out of them lmao. I actually got a chance to bat against Mat Latos my senior year, I went to the same highschool as him (Coconut Creek) and he was a part time coach for us. Not exactly the proudest moment of my career.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 04:22 PM) We would have all swung 3 seconds before the ball got there Not here /smug. 1 year removed from high school ball, I'm used to the slow hangers

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 04:04 PM) I just want the guy to hit freakin .200 Honestly as soon as he gets hot he'll have good numbers in a week.. that's how it is for everyone this early in the year. Just gotta hope that they heat up before we fall back TOO far.

White Sox (Floyd) v. Yankees (Nova) 6:05pm
Pitch FX says it hit the tippy top of the zone actually, but eh.

White Sox (Floyd) v. Yankees (Nova) 6:05pm
Good feeling about tonight. Predicting a big game from Beckham

Humber
I think the Garland comparisons are pretty spot on. Jon used to throw a pretty similar breaking pitch and they have about the same velocity on that sinker, if Humber can keep pounding the zone successfully, he will be a good 5th starter for a couple years, IMO.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Thank. f***ing. God.
