Reading the update from @KrankinSox about Passan’s article, it sounds like they may not make a move for a 2nd baseman either so that’s why I was asking.

I think they will also add a 2nd baseman. Leury/Mendick can’t be their best option going into the playoffs.

Yeah he’s terrible against good teams but mashes against bad teams. Good recipe for success in the playoffs right there. Lol I don’t think any of the big writers know who the Sox are going to acquire so they are just throwing out names right now.

It would be a big mistake if they play Leury at 2nd in the playoffs. That’s a glaring hole that would be exposed.

If they don’t try Burger at 2nd in the next couple days or so, than I’m thinking that’s one of the positions they will be acquiring for. I don’t know if you want to go into the playoffs with Mendick/Garcia at 2nd.

I think it’s either going to be Escobar or Frazier. I would rather have Escobar though. He’s raking right now.

ReyLo needs to be DFA’d or included in a trade. He’s just doesn’t have it.

Berrios was all over the place at the end. It’s like he was scared to pitch to them and than boom.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to trade Sheets. He can play 1st base for Jose whenever he needs a rest or can DH.

I think the Sox will make some moves but not until the deadline and they will be quiet about it.
