However they justified it, it is baffling that Kopech is on the roster and not starting this game.

at least Pantera is on his way back

Someone to provide serviceable depth at 2B/SS is an under the radar need for this off-season. TA sits it seems once every 10 games or so and he's been on the IL 3 straight seasons. That's without getting into the injury issues Madrigal has had in college and now his first 2 years in the bigs.

Lopez for 1 inning and then Kopech for 2 would be fine with me, but I don't think that's how TLR will handle it.

Hopefully Lopez shuts them down like Jax shut us down

Given the Twins lineup, rather just use Kopech as the opener

That’s what Leury is supposed to be…or Escobar, if you make that trade.  You really think the Sox will part with Garcia?  
 

With Robert and Engel and Hamilton back, he doesn’t serve much purpose in the outfield.

Christ, I'm not optimistic we split this DH

We still have the best record in the AL by one-half game on the Red Sox and Astros at the moment…there’s that.

I don’t get it either. But Kopech would have been nothing more than an opener. 2 innings max. Not that Reylo is gonna go deeper.
