The Sox will get to the playoffs but young teams do this on occasion. There’s going to be frustration with some of these games until they learn how to overcome some difficult in game situations. This is all part of their growth.

Ok well, it’s still inexcusable to bench one of the hottest hitters on the team right now when these games are important.

I’m not talking about getting something worth more than what the Sox could get out of him. I’m talking about at least getting something for him that we could use like maybe a reliever. Or we could’ve packaged him in a trade.

Since McCann isn’t playing that much now than why didn’t they just shop him at the deadline to see what they could get for him? They are wasting his playing time.

This isn’t the time of the year to be giving games away. You got to keep the foot to the pedal.

EE has been horrible though so why not give him a rest and use either Grandal or McCann as the DH. Doesn’t make any sense.

Is McCann hurt or something? This is the 3rd night in a row that they are leaving him out of the lineup.

RR is really playing with fire here with the top of the lineup. The fan base isn’t going to be too happy if they lose again.

Hopefully there won’t be anymore issues with Colas releasing from his current contract in Japan because that could delay things. Jimmy, have you heard any updates on his contract situation or is it still unknown at this time?

I don’t think it’s necessarily Rick Hahn’s fault. The players still have to perform. If they don’t than that falls on the manager to get them ready for the game and putting them in the best possible situations to win the game. Based on all that, I think the Sox should give him a chance to coach the team for the rest of the season and in the playoffs and than evaluate him in the offseason.

They should have one of those team meetings with the players at the end of the seasons and see which direction they want to go. Obviously without Renteria being there.

Another option I was thinking is if the Sox don’t want to dip into Schaumburg for bullpen help is why not move Rodon in the bullpen for long relief and Lopez for middle relief and then just go with a 4 man rotation. They really only need 3 quality starters for the playoffs. Cease and Dunning can battle it out for who’s the number 3 starter in the playoffs.

There’s still time to turn the bullpen around and save some of the arms. RR just needs to use some common sense and stop over pitching some of players.

RR just needs to stop using the same guys in the bullpen soo much. Give them an off day and mix it up a bit. We’re going to have to dip into Schaumburg for reinforcements if RR keeps messing with the bullpen like this.

Well the good news is Detroit is losing.

I think they’ve pretty much have given up on this game.

It’s time to see what Vaughn can do. Give him some AB’s. This team needs a boost or a shot in the arm right now.

Who cares at this point. EE is hurting the team by not driving in runs and Mazara the same. They both are not doing the team any favors. EE has seen his last days anyways. He’s getting old. Time for some fresh blood.

Like Stoney said they need to start bringing some guys up if some of the other guys are not producing. They need to call Up Vaughn bench EE. That’s should send a message to him. Also play Engle Or Mendick in RF and bench Mazara. Hold the guys that are not doing anything accountable.
