The Royals have been a thorn in our side for a while. I’m getting tired of it.

The tricky part is Kopech has hardly pitched a game in the majors. You don’t know who your going to get. That’s the one thing about prospects or any prospect as a matter of fact.

You can always tell when there is a smoke screen especially from ole Bob.

There’s still time to make trades. Teams have up until tomorrow at 4pm ET. It’s also Sunday before the deadline so when we get closer we’ll hopefully start seeing some action.

Good point. I’m just throwing the argument out there. It’s really a tricky one. Lynn is a good pitcher, just look at his body of work. It’s a good resume but also look at his age. How many more years does he have? Whereas you have someone like a Bauer or a Bundy who are younger. However, they don’t have as good of resumes as Lynn, maybe more Bauer so it’s really a tough one. It all comes down to cost. With Lynn’s asking price right now I sense that it will come down to the last minute. If he is there last minute and the price is good, I wouldn’t pass up on him. Like I said, the cost has to be right though.

After I read all those posts and articles from insiders talking about how all these teams are jumping in on Lynn, it was obviously exciting to see at first but after hearing about his performance and looking at his age and comparing his whole body of work compared to other players that can get us over the top, I was thinking to myself well yes he’s good and his services are in high demand, but obviously the cost or the asking price is going to be high so do we really want to go after him at that cost when we can find someone better that will take us to the top.

Great pitchers find a way to beat great teams. Yes, there going to have an off night here and there, but I wouldn’t consider Lynn great. He’s a good pitcher but he’s not at the level of great yet. We are trying to win championships. If the Sox truly want Lynn than they are better off waiting until the asking price comes down. I’m talking from a business perspective there. Other than that I feel they will make a trade but there are better options out there to explore.

Lance Lynn didn’t pitch well tonight. I would take a pass on him. Especially if Dunning has a good outing tomorrow and with what Texas is asking for in return.

There’s really nobody left in this signing period so we pretty much got Dyson for nothing.

It has no bearing on a Cespedes or Colas signing since the money that is being used is from the current international pool. Remember, they extended the international signing period. They weren’t going to use the money anyways so why not use it to add some depth to the bench.

How would you guys feel if the Sox traded for Dylan Bundy? I know that Lynn is the name that has been linked to the Sox but Bundy wouldn’t be too bad either. He’s also having a decent year with the Angels.

I actually like this move. It gives us a pinch runner with speed and a defensive replacement off the bench. Also he has World Series experience which is a plus.

I would prefer them to sign McCann. You would have to think EE is gone after this year. I agree, Collins may be traded. Even though we have no idea what to expect from Kopech because he hasn’t proven anything yet, he has the potential to be an ace. Throw in another quality starting pitcher and you quite possibly have the best rotation in the league.

The Sox have some decisions to make for 1st base, DH and catcher. You have a log jam of players there with Vaughn waiting in the wings.

I kind of agree with this but eventually there going to have to start trading some of there pieces because they have a log jam of talent in the farm system with few positions to fill. A good problem to have.
