  1. That didn't take long. Way to swing it guys!
  2. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 13, 2013 -> 07:06 PM) Not often you see Miguel Cabrera strike out on 3 pitches I only watch him when he's playing against the Sox. So never.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2013 -> 06:03 PM) Personally, I would have chosen tomorrow to be the day Konerko gets off and Dunn plays. Hernandez has been blasted by righties all year while he's dominated lefties. Seems like too many times this season the guys are getting the wrong days off. Like Flowers should have gotten a day off Saturday with the Sox facing lefties the next couple of games after that. Konerko struggling and sits against a super hittable lefty who might get him going a little bit...while Dunn plays and will probably have no shot tonight.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 13, 2013 -> 04:30 PM) Maybe it's not all that complicated. Opposing pitchers would rather walk him and face Keppinger instead. Or Konerko...or in tonight's case Dunn. There's no protecting anyone in this line-up that gets hot.
  5. DeAza-Ramirez-Rios-Viciedo-Dunn-Keppinger-Wells-Flowers-Greene Barf Come on Hector!!!
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) The difference is...there have been plenty of times that Viciedo simply would not let a pitcher walk him. Being willing to let a pitcher walk him would be an improvement. Agreed...it's been pretty obvious when teams get 2 strikes on Dayan that they aren't giving in and throwing pitches anywhere near the strike zone. This didn't used to matter. He would strike out on a ball in the dirt or fastball at his eyes. He's done a great job laying off the off-speed stuff out of the zone over the last week.
  7. It's very possible that the Sox line-up is so bad that Dayan is now looked at currently as the the guy who teams can't let beat them...thus the walks he's taking are a result of teams simply pitching somewhat around him.
  8. Take your time boys...rack em up!!!!!!!
  9. Good for Chris...good grief. Put on a show for the world.
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ May 12, 2013 -> 09:15 PM) Sox face Pedro Hernandez tomorrow night. We should be ok. Somehow make it a 4-3 week.
  11. Holy s*** DeAza...that was such an awful swing.
  12. He was out at third. Here comes the hit.
  13. So damn sick of that bat flip.
  14. 2 hits for Alexei now. Let's get a run or two men.
  15. Sox are actually hitting the ball harder then they've hit it in a while.
  16. Gonna take a ligit double to here to score Konerko now.
  17. Wilson is such a laborer out there. Always falls behind. Goes deep in the counts. The fact that he's sitting on 33 pitches at this point is pathetic. I've seen three different starts where he had 33 pitches in the first inning.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 12, 2013 -> 07:40 PM) They also had ageless wonder Julio Franco. Also Chris Sabo on that team...weird year.
  19. Kruk talking about sucking it up in the 95 season with the Sox. I remember that...that team was no fun.
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 12, 2013 -> 07:30 PM) That was one of the worst send calls I have ever seen. Not as bad as the Keppinger send last night.
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 12, 2013 -> 07:17 PM) Very interesting that Dunn all of a sudden mysteriously is benched against a LHP when a Sunday Night ESPN game shows up on the schedule. BTW, can someone post whatever interesting/insightful comments the ESPN crew makes, since there's no way for me to access it...probably the story will be 95% about "what's wrong with the Angels?" If we're gonna see the Dunn from 2011 all season then we are going to sit him sit vs. Lefties more and more. Regardless of it being a national tv game.
