Yeah, it’s definitely hard to know for sure. I suspect it’s spin based on some of the swings you see. It isn’t wild swings at pitches all over the place, but swings where halfway through he’s totally fooled. He’s talented enough to make it work when you look at his end of season numbers. There’s just going to be some ugly stretches mixed in.

I think his problem is recognizing spin. That’s not really something that can be taught.
