I thought peavys intial synopsis was bad from the start. He walked right off the feild. If the xrays didn't reveal anything broken or fractured that's good news. Hr may miss a few days because of soreness but it's not a year ender.

Interesting article on dodger team site about manny. Here's the interesting quote I found, although it's been reported and said here, this is directly from the MLB site so it has some value: "Ramirez was claimed off waivers Friday by the White Sox (Texas and Tampa also put in claims). The Dodgers have until Tuesday morning to deal him and the remaining $4.3 million on his contract to Chicago or keep him. It's been speculated that Ramirez is demanding a contract extension to approve a trade and the White Sox are balking. Perhaps his benching convinces Ramirez that moving on to be a White Sox DH without a contract extension is a better career move than sitting with the Dodgers."

Manny was held out of tonights lineup because of matchup reasons. This is the second day in a row and now Dodgers beat writer tweeted this: dylanohernandez Torre said that because he might want to start the same lineup from tonight's game, #Manny could sit again tomorrow. #Dodgers 10 minutes ago Pretty weird/suspicious that Torre would announce this tonight. Even more so cause they Dodgers need wins and Manny would be a key piece to that in their estimation. Something is fishy, real fishy with this Whole thing. Balta, I never said I didn't think he took steroids, in fact that's why I said I'm not stupid, with that said..... I was saying he never failed a test ecause of steroids. Obviously he juiced hence the fertility drug, but was pointing out not because of roids.

I agree, Mccourt is not going to pass up an opportunity to clear 4.5 mil. I think the defferrred moey makes the point even stronger cause he would be in the hook for 3.5 next year. This should get don't IMO, even if the Dodgers think they have a chance, they should know they can do it without manram seeing he's been out all season. Finally the tell tale will be tonight IMO if he's in the lineup they may drag it out till Tuesday. I hope we get him by Sunday so he can dubut during my day!

At this point, I could not be mad or disappointed at KW he claimed him ad showed he knows this team needed the boost. Whether a trade gets worke out or not I'm not sure, but KW is in the clear. IMO this gets done, the teams have been talking since Tuesday about a potential deal. La has plenty of comptent outfeilders. The save $ and get rod of Manram.
