  1. A useless pickoff attempt at 2nd eventually turns into run, keep on giftwrapping those runs
  2. Wow another error this time by the pitcher, defense has been garbage
  3. Hopefully the Defense shows up today. It always seems that this team never really clicks on all cylinders at particular stretch, where its always one of the pitching, batting and fielding that is a let down.
  4. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 30, 2012 -> 09:00 PM) Maybe Santiago shoud have stayed with tghe club and Quinatana go down? What has he done for us lately - like today? Have the 2nd lowest ERA on the staff post All-star break.
  5. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 30, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) Doumit was going to be safe regardless. So the error didn't matter. But he advanced to 2nd and ended up scoring on the single by Velencia.
  6. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 30, 2012 -> 08:39 PM) Alexei has been terrible. The bobble last night, the bobble today, and now this Makes you wonder if his wrist is ok
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 04:59 PM) Monday: Liriano- Floyd Tuesday: Devries- Quintana Wednesday: Blackburn- Peavy Seriously, 2 out of 3, or bust. Friday: Sale- Darvish Saturday: Humber- Harrison Sunday: Floyd- Oswalt Expecting to get swept. Maybe a trade happens before then. That already screams a big loss and the soxtalk board going nuts.
  8. Too much of the trouble had been masked with Youkilis' arrivale and performance, as well as Quintana's unexpected dominance.
  9. Too many qs just surround the team at the moment. The most important ones are concerning the two guys that anchor the rotation. What happens with Sale when those innings start piling up? Is it right to stretch him out that much (assuming we are in it till September)? Does Peavy have enough arm strength to hold up for 200+ Innings? Yea people say our offense sucks, which currently is true, I will give it one more week for them to snap out of it. But those two guys at the top of the rotation as good as they have been and the pedigree they bring to the mound, it is concerning when you talk about being in the thick of things till the end.
  10. All we can hope for is hopefully these guys don't dig too deep of a hole
  11. Speaking of Konerko, I actually fear he won't reach 20 Hr, he looks totally lost at the plate. Unless he somehow gets back his head right and swing goes back to normal I think his power has gone.
  12. 11 runs charged for Lester, what has happened to him
  13. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) So theoretically a .165BA, 40 HR, 100 RBI would suffice for you. Well if he has a OBP of .365 I would take that.
  14. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 03:01 PM) at the end of the day does it really matter if he hits .200 if he finishes the season with 40+ HRs and 100+ RBIs? All I am saying is if he is getting his walks (continuing to get on base) hrs and rbi's that makes up for his low batting average. We all knew his batting avg wasn't great when he signed here. That is simply something you have to live with and move on Still his OBP, which is the stat that you look at Dunn, in the 2 seasons with the whitesox are his lowest two in his career.
  15. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) once again you didn't pay the guy to hit for average. Everyone knows when adam dunn comes to the plate he is going to do 1 of 3 things....walk, HR or K. He has never been a person to hit for average but as long as he is hitting HRs, driving people in, and getting on base I can take a low batting average. That has never been his thing, no reason we should assume he is going to do that here. People still were atleast expecting to see .240-.260
  16. So the replay showed it wasn't a HR? nvm Yahoo updated it
