Lillibridge with a 2 HIT GAME GUISE!!!!!!!
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 10:31 PM) We won the last "impossible to win" Humber start last time. Yuppppppp
-
QUOTE (RME JICO @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 10:28 PM) He was much more effective than Dempster, lol. "Oswalt has made 13 relief appearances in his career, but only five since his rookie season of 2001." Hate to see LAA scoring so many runs, 39 and counting in last 4 games. Hopefully they get them all out of their system before tomorrow. Agreed their lineup is scary right now with all that thunder & those pesky little switch hitters who seem to KILL us. Gonna be a nice test for this team.
-
Weird seeing Roy Oswalt trot out of the bullpen in the 6th. Wonder when the last time he came out of the pen was?
-
Yikes Dempster should have went to the Braves. Grienke vs Humber is a complete mismatch but anythings possible in the game of baseball
-
Tribe down 6-0 already in the 1st with some guy named Kluber pitching for them. Ouch hopefully they show up this weekend.
-
I could see Myers starting off well as a starter & then completely faltering down the stretch like Derek Lowe this season. Rather have him in the bullpen. Sale Peavy Danks Floyd Liriano Would be a fun starting 5 to watch all season long.

QUOTE (Real @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 04:15 PM) because beating the team that's 13 games out = division title right? more accurately would be Wins against Detroit = AL Central Title Actually how about wins period = AL Central Title
-
QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 04:09 PM) AL Central Wins = AL Central Title
-
3 up with Tigers still to play. Bein up 3 1/2 going back home would be AWESOME
-
WINNER WINNER. Another series win & the Sox are now 3 up......Let's go RED SOX
-
Did Morneau even get a ball out of the infield today? Yikes
-
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 03:38 PM) Here's my message: The "he'll give the lead right back" and "we don't have a chance" and "this game is over" posts are annoying and make it unbearable to read the game threads. Is that clear enough for you? +1

Jake doing what Jake does.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 03:19 PM) That one would tie Furcal for 5th. Trout, Kinsler, Jackson, Bourne, Furcal, De Aza. Thanks. Def been a pleasant surprise
-
DeAza is becoming awfully clutch. Where does he rank in leadoff hitter RBIs?
-
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) You'll start hating me for beating a dead horse, I know-- but wouldn't it be safe to say that plenty of BAD players in MLB history have had multiple clutch hits? AJ is a decent hitting catcher, but this year is making people forget the guy who swings and swings endlessly to aid batting average but also create outs. I want this year to be what he really is, of course. but the larger accumulation data is what he really is. A decent hitting catcher? The guy should've been starting the all star game this year & it seems he is getting better with age.
-
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 02:55 PM) There's plenty of point in it. Just because someone has had a clutch hit in the past, it does not indicate how many clutch hits they will have in the future. Baseball is a chaotic game, period. yet tons of energy is expended on making it not so. We are not talking about just "A" clutch hit in the past when referring to Paulie & AJ, we are talking about multiple clutch hits. Its just my opinion, give me Paulie or AJ over Rios. Im just glad we have ALL 3 in our lineup.
-
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 02:49 PM) Why are things changing in a clutch situation? Because someone has been clutch in big moments in the past? Would you rather have Craig Counsell or Joe Mauer up bottom of the ninth two outs down one with runners on? That is exactly why. Plus I think Paulie & AJ are just better hitters than Rios. The guy is having a great season, but so are Paulie & AJ. As for the Counsell or Mauer question I really see no point in answering that.
-
In a CLUTCH situation my list would honestly be: Paulie AJ Then Rios
-
QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) This year? Rios, without a doubt. Nah, ill take Paulie every time.
-
Need a clutch Paulie knock

Thank you very much. Jake with a very friendly pitch count so far.

They have been running all series long.....but what new?
