  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2016 -> 08:00 PM) Oh gross. Can't hit or field. With that said, giving Jackson 600 at bats this year seems like a poor plan. That's why he's a 4th outfielder...
  2. You give Chris Sale, a superstar the benefit of the doubt on close pitches.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2016 -> 07:58 PM) Need to find someone that can give Jackson a breather. Getting way too much playing time That's why Schuck should be up.
  4. Sox just to win and beat Cleveland when they come to town.
  5. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 19, 2016 -> 07:05 PM) Why sit both Lawrie and Garcia at the same time? Garcia is the last one that needs a day off.
  6. QUOTE (SCCWS @ May 19, 2016 -> 06:39 PM) I agree w you. Rollins playing almost every day was giving them no production from the 2. Makes sense to try the opposite and give a guy who hardly plays a shot at it. I see Sanchez getting a couple of hits tonight. I don't even get why people hate on Sanchez. He's a young, solid player.
  7. Guys... the world series champs of 2016 just lost a another series to a inferior opponent. WTF IS GOING ON
  8. Well good thing Sale is pitching because you should take the under on the runs.
  9. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 19, 2016 -> 03:38 PM) I applied to Loyola last year for their part time MBA program, it came down at the time between going for it then or buying a condo. I went with the condo, and after looking at more options I'm working on saving up for a cheaper program like UIC. It just isn't worth paying so much, especially what schools like NW want, for a part time MBA. UIC is actually really reasonable and I'd like to do their weekend program which seems like a better fit for my schedule. I go to UIC, I almost always prefer public or private unless they are just throwing money at you.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 19, 2016 -> 10:25 AM)
  11. PhD can be from 5-7 years. I've only completed year one. I'm 100% sure I'll return. Hell I took a break before starting graduate school this year. I graduated in 2007 and started in graduate school in 2015; so that was at least 8 years. RR, that's one of the reasons why I worked as long as I did before returning because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle that type of pressure right after finishing.
  12. QUOTE (Tex @ May 19, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) Congrats. I am expecting my acceptance soon. Whether or not to accept is still up in the air. Do you have your masters? Does the program allow you to earn a masters along the way? You can master's out but I just completed my first year. I just wanted to pound away some debts and save some money before coming back. I took a huge paycut coming back to school (obviously) and I don't think I was prepared for it. I absolutely want to finish my degree but I also can't focus if I'm worried about how I am going to pay for s***.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 19, 2016 -> 11:54 AM) Good for you dude, I didnt even last a year in a PHD program. What did you study? For me I just need to take a break, work for like a year, pay some bills, and get back into the fray. I can't really make ends meet with the salary they pay.
  14. Can a PhD student take a sabbatical?
  15. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 18, 2016 -> 09:16 PM) Our bullpen is filled with a bunch of guys who don't have much "stuff." No real fireballers, etc. Other than Robertson, I don't trust a darn guy in their bullpen right now. Not everyone can have a Betances, Miller, and Chapman monster. Albers (up until his collapse), Jones, and Robertson have been pretty solid.
  16. You lean on your ace to stop the bleeding. Sale does that.
  17. Swinging at balls and taking strikes. Lawrie is a K machine.
