  1. QUOTE (Brian @ May 13, 2016 -> 02:29 PM) Liriano should've had Russell rung ump but ump missed it. Next pitch a 3 run homer. Cubbed.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2016 -> 02:00 PM) If you live in a state where your "vote doesn't matter" a 3rd party vote is actually more valuable than a vote for the 2nd place candidate, as it can help push their total towards the minimum totals to get them to the table in places like debates. I just learned about this too. It's a great idea for people that live in Illinois.
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 13, 2016 -> 01:39 PM) Taken him seriously from the start (I've read that none of the other candidates did oppo research on him before February!), coalesced around one not-Trump early on rather than splitting the vote 16 ways. Don't know that it would have for sure worked, but they didn't really have any sort of coherent strategy or plan. Hell, their last, best hope ended up being Ted Cruz! They produced zero candidates that could excite their base. When Trump's message resonances with voters, your party f***ed up along the way. Even Lindsey Graham realized what a colossal f*** up his party has been.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 12, 2016 -> 05:03 PM) That is awesome! I despise going through the lines. Do they become upset with you when you refuse to get in the machine? Not visibly. If they do, I will kindly remind them to do their f***ing job. They can't force you to go through the xray machine, hence the alternative.
  5. I'm still in utter disbelief that Trump is the Republican nominee. Does the GOP even f***ing care about their brand anymore?
  6. Spurs have too many fogies.
  7. I make them frisk me every time. I was cool with the metal detectors but the x-ray machines are bulls***.
  8. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 12, 2016 -> 01:08 PM) trump's long-time personal butler seems insane, going so far as to call for the US military to assassinate Obama. Man I wonder what is rhetoric will be once Clinton becomes president?
  9. Yeah two games out of 162 considering their lead won't mean anything.
  10. QUOTE (Tony @ May 11, 2016 -> 09:54 PM) I only hope the gamethreads on Cubs sites look as bad as they do here when the team is losing. Awful day today for the Cubs, but it means nothing. They believe they are the team of destiny. I'm sure this bump doesn't meant s*** to them.
  11. Second awful team the Cubs have lost a series to this year.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ May 11, 2016 -> 03:37 PM) Yeah, I know Bernie supporters just started paying attention in the last 4 years, but when I grew up conservatives had held the presidency for 28 out of 42 years and upended the house and senate map. That doesn't happen because tv media isn't fair to someone or the clintons, it happens because the country is full of a bunch of people that don't always agree with you. Bernie supporters white wash this as it being the fault of institutions, and can't deal with the fact that a lot of people disagree with you and will fight you on it. You really don't need to berate people who don't look upon Clinton favorably. She is not as well liked as you would like to proclaim. I voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012 (Romney...) because he pretty much said he was going to try to be progressive and change s***. After the GWBjr mess, you would take anyone that would be a breath of fresh air at that point. Washington proved too tall of a task to do so and him being black didn't help matters. Clinton OTOH started all of the birther and inexperience hot takes during the primaries in 08. People sometimes forget that and think Trump started it. The bottom line is you think Clinton to be capable leader and I do not for many of the reasons some posters have stated in this thread. Plus I do not like giving power to certain families repeatedly, see Bush. You should really avoid the generalizations as if supporters of a certain candidates are automatons. I certainly don't think of Clinton supporters that way.
  13. QUOTE (miracleon35th @ May 11, 2016 -> 09:21 PM) In a one run game with a guy on first and no out, Ventura should have told Carlos to bunt. The decision to hit and run on a 3-2 count was questionable. It looked like the pitch was a ball and that maybe Sanchez swung to protect the runner (Abreu) who Ventura had sent. Too bad Frazier didn't get his last two or three at bats because things might have turned out different in this game. Protect the runner on ball 4?
  14. pettie4sox replied to Dunt's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sanchez will hit. He's a notoriously slow starter. Sands needs to go, and Shuck can replace him.
  15. s*** happens guys. On to the next game. 2/3 in NY is really doable.
  16. That 2-0 pitch was the one he needed to slam. Oh well, s*** happens.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 11, 2016 -> 03:49 PM) What are you looking at avi Tough pitch. Froze him. s*** happens.
  18. AJax has had how many ABs with the base juiced?
  19. Latos walked two guys. That's his fault for sure.
  20. And it was for naught since he didn't catch it. You gotta Alex Gordon that s*** in the stands.
  21. That f***ing sucks!
  22. Cole Hamels is a really good pitcher that Saladino hasn't ever seen before. Over course he is going to be overmatched.
  23. Mat needs to nibble once he gets ahead. He stuff just isn't that good.
  24. Hamels nibbles by design. I mean our guys are getting themselves out.
  25. Make Hamels work. Throwing junk outside the zone.
