  1. Enjoying the Hull striker trying to score on the QPR/Toronto keeper. The pinnacle of world football.
  2. Is Hawk gonna love Micah as much when he supplants Beckham?
  3. Hawk's love for Gordon is hilarious, but in fairness, he's produced more WAR so far this season than in any of his seasons with the Sox bar 2009
  4. My favourite Ravelo stat is that he hit 3% better than league average at low-A in 2013 despite hitting .226 with no homers.
  5. I like it when the White Sox score 7 runs in an inning. In my opinion, it's better than when they score less than this amount.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 09:15 PM) Feeky you can't deny he's been lousy. Nice job there, though. Cmon make Verlander pay for being Peavy/Sale-like in not wanting to exit games! The results have sucked, no doubt. However I feel that a) he's been unlucky, he's walked more, struck out only slightly more, hit the same number of line drives, b) he has enough of a track record to give him the benefit of the doubt, c) he does other things reasonably enough that he's not going to be a total liability when he's not hitting a la Viciedo and d), he's been coming around as of late.
  7. Nieto has tripled his walk count for the year tonight
  8. Selfish, stupid, lousy Alejandro gets it done.
  9. Ravelo 1-1, double Kevan Smith 1-1
  10. I think those first two at-bats perfectly encapsulate Jose's Sox career
  11. Conor unselfishly popping up so we can get an Abreu grand slam, what a guy
  12. Great take by Beckham on that last pitch
  13. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 08:03 PM) How was that foul? De Aza getting hit for the second time of the inning
  14. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 07:59 PM) Nice at bat for Nieto. Particularly as he's barely walked this year. Showing the signs of progression the Sox would want of him.
  15. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 07:47 PM) If the outfielder calls it, the infielder is supposed to yield. Huh. Shows what I know. I always thought the guy who did the wavy arms thing was the guy to get it.
  16. Stone blaming Alexei, seemed on Alejandro to me no?
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 07:34 PM) Reminiscent of Mike Trout off Sale. Verlander threw that pitch to the exact location (in and off the plate) that Avila had his glove waiting for... Pulled his hands in and muscled it out. Justin couldn't believe it. Not quite as bad as up and away, but Jose has shown that he can hit the inside fastball out. The Angels showed the way to get him out. Nothing but offspeed, mainly outside the zone. Until he learns to take those, that's all teams should do to him. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 07:35 PM) Except it wasn't over the plate, it was inside and probably wasn't even a strike. Abreu's obviously making some adjustments of his own as he starts seeing the AL Central opponents a couple of times and gets a better feel for how they're going after him. Cruz 21, Encarnacion 20, Abreu 19 I have Gameday up, and the broadcast showed the strike zone, both had it in the strike zone.
  18. So, "El Canon" is here to stay. What do we all think?
  19. p.s. lol at throwing Jose fastballs over the plate, there is absolutely no reason to do so
  20. THE MAN LITERALLY CANNOT STOP HITTING HOME RUNS AGAINST JUSTIN VERLANDER
  21. Harsh, Hawk, Rienzo has some silks
